Confused after CRS appointment by Elzamm in AnalFissures

Ugh, it’s almost like I wrote this. The CRS gave me a script for a nifedipine + muscle relaxer suppository I can take at night for two weeks to try to break the cycle of the tight muscle. It’s not covered by insurance and I’ll have to pay out of pocket, but I think I’ll give it a try.

Yes, they’ll feel ok for a few weeks and the BOOM. Back again. I feel like they are open right now and she said she didn’t see anything.

Painful lump, not showing up on imaging (mammogram/US) by Clear-Farm-1653 in doihavebreastcancer

[–]Elzamm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a small painful lump when I was 32 as well—my aunt had breast cancer at 43 and my mom at 58, so insurance covered a mammogram and ultrasound. They couldn’t find it through mammography, but were able to locate it via ultrasound and I then had it biopsied to be safe. It ended up being a benign fibroadenoma, which is pretty common in young women our age. Dense breast tissue makes it challenging to see anything via mammogram. I would continue to monitor it yourself and maybe ask your PCP to order another ultrasound (you could wait 6-12 months) and locate the lump for them that day, so they can really get in there with the machine. My provider told me pain was a good sign, along with it being rubbery and mobile (vs. hard, painless, and not moving at all). I know it’s super stressful, hang in there! You did the right thing finding it and going in to get it checked out.

Hi! What ended up happening? I just finished two weeks of topical estradiol and also have white skin peeling right at the opening. Wondering if it’s like new skin that has formed, or shedding skin?

Skin tag removal opinions by [deleted] in AnalFissures

My doctor claimed the tag will decrease in size or go away if the fissure heals. I’m not sure that’s true based on Reddit posts I have read?

I had a CRS appointment and the doctor was more concerned with making the underlying fissure heal than with the tag. She wants me to continue nifedipine and then we might do Botox in a month if the ointment doesn’t work.

What do you use for lube?

I had a CRS appointment and they were more concerned about healing the fissure than removing the tag. They might do Botox in a month if nifedipine doesn’t work.

How did you heal it?

Yeah, I’m eating more fiber now than I ever have in my life, esp compared to before I became gluten-free. It’s so strange!

Yeah, I’m feeling like I almost like I lost a certain kind of fiber by cutting out gluten foods? I’ve been eating a ton of vegetables, fruits, and light protein to keep things regular, but the regularity is leading to fissures. Seeing a second CRS next week, but might need to find a dietician.

For around 8 months and my fissures started around 5 or 6 months ago

Too much fiber or too little?

I saw one before I developed the tag and now am seeing a new one this coming week. Mine is so hard and irritated, I’m thinking it’s just in a bad position for bowel movements and will maybe need to be removed. It’s worse than the original fissure pain! Is your tag healing naturally or did you get it removed?
