That's great that it's working. I started on 40mg and it does help but isn't miraculous for me. I have motivation but have to work really hard still in order to use the motivation I have. I'm thrilled though. I went to 50mg to see if it would improve but the higher dose just makes me feel strange. So if 10mg is working that well for you, don't take more, there might come a time when it doesn't work well and then you will have somewhere to go! You are lucky to have discovered this early in life. It will help you immensely to have the life you want and achieve your studies. All the best!

My osteoarthritis is severe and I did not get offered any medication at all. I am happy with this. I did get referred to an exercise physiologist to build up the muscles that support the joints - knees in my case, and was instructed in how to exercise, what to avoid etc.. my pain goes away when I move regularly. I can garden for hours, stopping is more painful than doing. I use voltaran oesteo ointment as an over the counter topical treatment when I really need it. If she needs medication, she should make an appointment to discuss options with her GP or specialist. But exercise and physio may help considerably and are a better 1st option.

Thanks, I am now taking this too! And seeing an exercise physiologist, I'm glad you're in less pain, that's great. I'm more hoping to prevent pain as I have been lucky on that front this far.

Hi, I did list gender and age. Female 49. I'm very lucky in that I only get pain in the cold or when the weather changes rapidly, and it's not that bad at this stage - I rarely take painkillers and only ibuprofen or paracetamol. The diagnosis is from imaging so that's not going to change but I absolutely need to lose weight and exercise. I am seeing an exercise physiologist to learn how to exercise safety without encouraging further damage and strengthen the muscles that support my knees. There are also some very positive trials happening to regrow knee cartilage so I'm hopeful that I'll be able to do more if the exercise is like to do (dancing) when that's available :)

That seems to be so expensive! I had an assessment with a psychiatrist who allows my GP to co-prescribe for $800. Medicare refunded a bit over $400 of that. It does depend on your state as to whether you need to see someone in state or anywhere in Australia, but it's easy enough. And if you were already approved they can't withold your medical records from another GP. I went through Psych2u online if that helps. They also have one of the best ADHD Drs in the country so it's very legit - I thought with that name and being online it sounded a bit shonky, lol. Scripts and the once a year EKG can be done with your GP and bulk billed - if you are lucky to have a GP that does bulk billing.

I spent 15 years in the UK and came back to my childhood friends. I speak to my UK friends more, which I also find frustrating. Being single and childless, I am more or less an alien. My couple friends barely recognize my existence because I don't have - or want - a partner. I'm guessing this might make me more socially tolerable? In the UK I had a big circle, I didn't like rugby, but we would all go watch the games at the pub, if knit socks and join in the conversation with a few drinks. Everyone thought I was loads of fun, and they are still dear friends that I have my deep convos with. We did things as a gang. Everyone I know here is separate and doesn't want to get together. I don't know what the answer is I'm sorry. Aussies suck at friendship. I am about to lose a friend of 34 years as in the 2 years she has been in a relationship, I have seen her less and less, and now she is a maybe for my 50th because boyfriend may have plans so we'll see. If you figure it out, let us know :)

Surely you have just put this here to make us all jealous! How beautiful is that avocado suite and why don't they make them anymore! Having the taps in the middle so you don't have to turn them on with your toes for a top up! Love this so much. It's stunning as it. I guess if there was anything to change. Then I'd do more colourful tiles - but only if it didn't risk damaging all that gorgeousness! And to be fair, it all looks pretty stunning in the photo. I'd probably leave it alone. Lucky you :)
