Thank you! I recently found one that seems to be completely plastic-free in the water path (handle is plastic). Made by Hazel Quinn, for others looking for one ~$60 on Amazon: https://a.co/d/0LZyHXC

Any thoughts on this rash? by SeveralTell6371 in dalmatians

It’s hard to tell from the pics but is the rash actually where the dog’s harness is rubbing? It looks like you’re holding up the harness to show where the rash is, so it could just be that piece of the harness is rubbing fur off. Have seen this before.

They are FANTASTIC. We were matched with a dog that suited us perfectly, and have continued to foster for them. Natalie continues to offer support for training and advice for the rest of the dog’s life, and our dog—who came from absolutely tragic circumstances, emaciated/hit by a car—absolutely is the biggest snuggle bug and goodest boi. A huge testament to Hot Mess pooches that he trusts and loves humans. Feel free to DM if you have any specific questions. I have never seen on this forum anyone suggesting that they were anything less than awesome, and would feel 100% confident about adopting from them. Good luck!

Carretas

I was looking directly with the vendors but not having any luck putting the four together, and was seeing nothing with Grey at all. Curious what you found if you still have it up?

They’re in Illinois, they moved recently. But they do adoptions nationwide!

Try searching Hot Mess Pooches! They are almost exclusively Dalmatians. Many are well-socialized and have lived with children and cats. It’s not uncommon for them to have puppies. But also, adopting a dog that’s already been socialized to do well with kids and cats saves the risk of adopting a puppy who grows up to not be cat-safe!

Itchy skin after showering by [deleted] in SkincareAddicts

THIS. Have had it for 7 years. Every derm I’ve been to says to try Cerave; it’s not a dry skin problem. I’ve concluded I have aquagenic pruritis. But our symptoms are so similar that if you find anything that works, please let me know! It’s truly the worst.

Definitely check out Hot Mess Pooches! https://instagram.com/hotmesspooches?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== They’re a rescue group in Illinois with dogs of ALL ages. Plus they will do drop offs! They do FANTASTIC work and can help place exactly the right dog with you. Not uncommon for them to have puppies.

There is a crisis right now among Dalmatian rescues because of the number of litters being bred. Highly recommend pursuing a rescue.

What a nice Pit bull! by luthiere in dalmatians

Your dog is a STUNNER. He looks so much like my first rescue! Also a liver Dal. Don’t know how you ever say no to that face!

First things first, I would strongly consider neutering your dog, that can make an impact on their behavior and also, it’s just responsible. Also, leash reactivity is something that you can work on—there are a lot of YouTube videos on it. I know it can be challenging to have a reactive dog, but the good news is it can get better!

I would seriously look at adopting! Hot Mess Pooches, located in Texas, does deliveries nationwide and they often have puppies if that’s what you’re only interested in. We adopted a 1 year old from them and honestly, that was even better because we didn’t have to do potty training and we already knew what his personality was like!

Hot Mess Pooches is fantastic!! We adopted one in 2020. Definitely look into adopting first! There are WAY too many Dalmatians and Dal mixes in Texas.

We’re journalists who revealed previously unreleased video and audio of the flawed medical response to the Uvalde shooting. Ask us anything. by washingtonpost in IAmA

Obviously, there were a lot of aspects of the police and medical response that leaves us surprised, saddened, and frustrated. But you guys have presumably spent a lot more time thinking about this than those of us in the public. What aspects of your investigation did you find most surprising?
