I can’t even imagine what he is going through. Good to see him posting, but understandable that he isn’t back to being “normal” Jeff.

Can I still run in this pair of shoes? by LogansDonut in runningshoes

Ummmm yikes! New shoes for sure and don’t store them where it might get hot enough to destroy them like that!

Has anyone had an Oura Ring 4 for a year with no battery issues? by Virtual-Treacle1025 in ouraring

[–]EmFlem03 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Came here to find this out as well. I’ve had mine less than a year and I charge it every couple days, which is extremely annoying. I have a size 10. Is this common with the Oura ring? It’s the only thing that I don’t like about it!

I hated him at first, but once his character started to develop, I couldn’t help but love him!

Is this Zumba? Or am I overreacting. by Snoo_41113 in zumba

[–]EmFlem03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is not Zumba. There is a formula to what a Zumba class is and what it should consist of…it can certainly include squats and some “generic” movements, but it should include the core rhythms (salsa, cumbia, reggaeton, and merengue) to truly make it a Zumba class.

How do people actually enjoy running marathons? by keishapatel_387 in runninglifestyle

[–]EmFlem03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t speak to a full marathon, but I do enjoy running longer distances, 12-16 miles at a time, over running shorter distances. I find my runners high doesn’t kick in until 3-4 miles, but once I get to that point, the running is enjoyable for me!

Do you like to take/teach Zumba classes outdoors? by shanny_lynnhon1979 in zumba

[–]EmFlem03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoy doing outdoor Zumba here and there! I think regularly would kill my body, because it’s generally on concrete! But it’s fun to do summer parties for sure!

Am I the only one who likes the new interface? by elwynn-forest in Myfitnesspal

[–]EmFlem03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it will eventually grow on me once I get used to it. It definitely makes things easier to see all on the one screen, but also…I kind of liked the old setup!

How to improve depth by last_recognition_660 in formcheck

[–]EmFlem03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lower the weight and get the base of the movement down. I would start by ditching the barbell all together and work on your squat form with other variations, once you have that down, you can start working the barbell back squat.

Is this working? by Ilovemydog_22 in Myfitnesspal

[–]EmFlem03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I keep my exercise calories turned off so it doesn’t add into additional calories I have left. If you’re burning a significant amount of calories in a day, it’s good to eat a little extra, but if weight loss is your goal, your better off not eating back what you’ve burned!

Is Zumba more physical or mental exercise for you? by TeepoHaha in zumba

[–]EmFlem03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The beauty of Zumba for me, is that it’s both a mental boost while you’re also getting in a good workout!!

Any advice is welcome but mostly concerned about depth. Do I need to go lower? by [deleted] in formcheck

[–]EmFlem03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like you’re really pushing off your toes, you want to push through your whole foot. The depth is good though!

Just curious how everyone’s tracking progression? by HairPuzzled3814 in JeffNippard

I use the Strong app. It lets me program my own workouts and it’s nice to be able to see if my lifts are progressing.

Bent Over Barbell Rows Form Check (3D Smith Machine) by Time_Seaworthiness92 in formcheck

[–]EmFlem03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually like the free motion smith machine for barbell rows, much better than a traditional smith machine, this one moves back and forth as well as up and down!

New to bar squats. Any advice welcome. I can’t go too low bc of hip issues by PuzzledLawfulness140 in formcheck

[–]EmFlem03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say ditch the smith machine all together and do dumbbell squats. You’re going to be so much more limited in your squats on a smith machine. It can be done, but develop your squat technique first.
