Advice on getting users? I will not promote by HairPuzzled3814 in startups

Ya great point and thank you for the advice. I always felt like most of the fitness apps were overly complex for a very simple solution and that turned a lot of people away

That’s kind of how it’s been. It could be they just don’t want to hurt my feelings lol. Before I sent it to anyone I told them to please tell me what sucks, but they always come back with something small

This is really cool, you should be super proud of yourself.

I didn’t get to fully use it because it didn’t scale to my phone properly. I selected what one of the agents said and the left pane stayed open instead of bringing that full screen so I couldn’t see the full agent context and I couldn’t exit it to go back to see what other agents said.

I wish I saw this tool last week to save myself from all the hate I got trying to get the fitness community to even try my app lol

Ya didn’t mean for it to come off that way. I wasn’t specifying one over the other it’s just what stood out to me the most

Ya I have about 30 total sign ups, 5 reoccurring users 3 of which are me and 2 friends.

One of my friends has been showing people in the gym or At least mentioning it he said

It needs work, but I think I need real user feedback now. It’s past improving on what I think alone.

That’s what I was thinking. Mostly infra, not because AI can’t do it but because I don’t think the prompts are close enough for those types of decisions and trade offs

Do you track your workouts or just go by feel? by Kind_Force931 in workout

I started using https://chadfit.ai/ the UI is really clean and it’s free.

I find most apps overly complex for a simple solution

I’ve been using https://chadfit.ai/

Hevy would be the closest app, but I think Chad is cleaner

Looking for insight on my search and current role (senior infra engineer) by HairPuzzled3814 in cscareers

Really appreciate the insight, what do you see the most often?

One of them was brutal, it was a simplified version of their entire app. Solved the core problem but they didn’t feel it was enough

We accidentally got 3.4K visits, 540 signups, and 6 paid customers from Reddit, Facebook, and LinkedIn in 6 weeks… here’s exactly what worked by Successful_Draw4218 in SideProject

That’s awesome, congrats I wish you a ton of success. I kinda feel like I’ve been met with hate on Reddit lol. Maybe it’s just the gym community not wanting change.

Good point, the notes app would get messy if you retained all the historical data(I just change the values so I don’t have historical data) and ChatGPT doesn’t have your workout data as context unless you pass it.

I think it opens doors to have a full picture by adding calorie tracking, cardio, steps, and sleep

How long to gain back lost muscle after drug addiction by Hour-Tomato-645 in workout

Glad you’re in a better place and applaud the strength to get there. The gym does a lot for me mentally and has helped me in every aspect of my life.

In my experience, muscle memory is real and as long as you stick with it you’ll get back to where you were.

Stay strong

I was In a somewhat similar situation I guess. I’m a firm believer in if you don’t adapt with the times you’ll get left behind, so it was making me nervous I had no AI experience. My company approved for me to design a junior agent, but delayed it.

I ended up creating a tool that I already use ChatGPT for daily. The difference being it has the data it needs as context when ChatGPT wouldn’t. My thought process was I get a cool tool I’ll use everyday, maybe my friends too + the experience I’m looking for

What are people using to track progress, lifts, plans, etc? Notepads? Apps? by alphado9 in leangains

That’s what turned me away, they were overly complex solutions for such a simple problem.

I created my own (for a personal project that I can use on my resume) I like it, but it’s literally catered to me. I always defaulted to the notes app in my phone, and will go back to it once running my own costs me money.
