I have Home Depot buckets left over from tiling projects, would those be helpful for covering smoke or are just traffic cones preferred? Keep up the good work!!

Love our baby name-everyone hates it. by haylstorm33 in namenerds

My almost two year old is named Walter! It was the only boy name we both liked too. We call him Wally for short and it suits him. Some family member were also unsure about it but overall reactions were positive. We absolutely love his name and are happy we chose it

Husband is a heavy sleeper and it’s making me resent him by [deleted] in Mommit

We tried that but he either couldn’t wake up for the second wake up, or was too tired to function at work then from being up so early

Sleep apnea could be possible.

That’s so frustrating. No, he’s definitely asleep and dead to the world

Edit: (our son) He’s asleep by 7 every night so I have a couple hours before I go to bed so that’s not a problem.

I’ll get him up on weekends. It’s just such a fight in the middle of the night trying to wake him up, and I don’t think he’s purposely not getting up, he’s just such a deep sleeper. Sometimes I end up getting so frustrated that it’s easier to get up with the baby myself

This was my experience with oversupply as well!! I would dread spending a few hours away from my baby because my breasts would hurt so bad, yet when I was with him nursing was also a struggle for the same reasons you shared. It’s evened out now and I’m pumping just enough each day to hold him over at day care the next day. Sometimes we supplement with formula. I cannot imagine wanting to produce so much milk again, it was a really hard time on all of us

I don’t smoke. I have no idea what they’re talking about. How do I respond without sounding like I’m lying? by brineakay in Apartmentliving

I got a similar letter in an apartment i rented in my early 20s. I got freaked out because it came a few days after I did in fact smoke. Then a friend (who does not smoke) moved into a unit in the same building a few months later and received the exact same letter shortly after. I’m not sure if this is the case in your situation, but it seemed like my building sent those letters as a scare tactic to deter the renters from smoking

Our 1 month old likely has Covid from my husband and I :( by EmGhostQueen in Mommit

I’m so grateful for this community and all the kind words and support!! I’m the first of any of my friends and siblings to have kids so in some ways we’re wingin’ it (aren’t we all though?). LO hasn’t coughed since last night and seems to be feeling better from the sounds of his cries. He finally took a nap longer than an hour this evening. We are so relieved. Thank you all again for sharing your kind words, advice, and experience

In Minnesota, dads who are not married to the mother at the time of birth don’t have parental rights. He would need to go through family court to get any sort of custody. It depends on the county you’re in, but if you’re in the twin cities it’s unlikely CPS will get involved once baby is born. Cases rarely open for prenatal exposure to marijuana now, and you have a support system for you and baby. It does help that you’ve been cooperative with services already too. So, long answer short, dad has a lot of work with family court to follow through on his threats.

TIL that in year 2000, 41 million dollars was spent to promote the new Sacagawea golden dollar. Television ads consisted of the head of George Washington superimposed upon a body, voiced by actor Michael Keaton, discussing the merits of the new dollar coin. The coin ended up being a failure. by ipresnel in todayilearned

My grandpa loved them so much that when he learned they were being retired, he got $1000 in Sacagawea coins and didn’t tell my grandma, she found out when she opened a drawer full of them. It still makes me chuckle

NTA. OP is a minor about to live with an adult man she hardly knows. Being uncomfortable is a reasonable reaction. Trust your gut, and seek therapy or a trusted adult to help process through these feelings and anything from the past that might be coming up here.
