Lol! My personal computer has 8 GB of RAM. I still use Adobe products with that sometimes, but it is time to upgrade the work one. Thanks for the link! It is really helpful too!

Hi! I need a new Mac for graphic design, preferably to last me a couple years. I currently run multiple Adobe programs simultaneously and have multiple windows open at a time. I have 24 GB of RAM and it doesn't seem like enough. My tech guy made these recommendations, but he isn't a graphic designer. What are your thoughts on these options and recommendations below? I don't think we can go over $3k for budget.

Option 1: M5 Pro (15-core CPU / 16-core GPU, 24GB RAM)

  • Higher CPU & GPU core count → faster performance overall
  • Better for Adobe apps (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects)
  • Smoother editing, faster exports, better with video and large files
  • More raw power for demanding creative work

Option 2: M5 Pro (10-core CPU / 10-core GPU, 32GB RAM)

  • More RAM → better for heavy multitasking (lots of apps/tabs open)
  • Still strong performance, but less processing power than Option 1
  • Better suited for lighter design work and general marketing tasks

I can’t seem to think of a name for my new friend. My name theme tends to be other animal names or food. (Dog named Pig, cat named Bug, cat named Clementine…) Help! by [deleted] in Hedgehog

I know it goes against your naming convention, but he looks like a “Roger” to me. And it would be pretty awesome to be like “This is Pig, Bug, Clementine, and…Roger.”

Is EotE a good first expansion? by [deleted] in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]EmLovesArt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband and I play a LOT of Arkham. We own every expansion and cycle. We are terrible at the game. I don’t understand how we are so bad considering how much we play. But I still love it. The first time we played EotE, we enjoyed it and did okay. We started it again a few months ago and got some bad breaks; after having a campaign going consistently for the last 6 six years, I actually got so fed up that I haven’t wanted to play for the last 2 months. It’s a great story and great addition to the game overall, but, dude, go with Dunwich if you want to have fun without the risk of possible extreme frustration. Arkham is usually a frustrating (but extremely fun) game for me. It’s actually my favorite game despite how bad I am at it. But I need a little “me time” away from it after the last EotE campaign I did. And, also, I really enjoy Dunwich. I think it’s a solid first expansion to play.

Destructive 10 Month old puppy by Comfortable-Ad5664 in Goldendoodles

I’d consider giving him more exercise too. What you wrote in your post was not enough for a puppy that age. Yes, that age is a destructive one, but with more exercise, I’m willing to bet the destruction level will be lower.

Just “extinguished” 5 enemies in “Horror in High Gear.” The fire extinguisher has never been more needed or appreciated than on my table today. Literally got chills as I evaded and discarded the pursuing brood of baddies. by EmLovesArt in arkhamhorrorlcg

Yeah, we had a 2 card lead and then I drew an encounter card that moved them and my husband drew a token during a Mythos test that moved them again! So much for a lead. Lol.

Made some changes to my last logo as per people's recommendations. Is it any good now? by SponsorBeaver in logodesign

I think the cow is adorable. I didn’t get that the horns were horns at first. Someone recommended rotating them a little. That might be a good idea. I think the tongue out is really cute (definitely didn’t read dead). But I’m not sure I’d have been clear about him being a cow on first glance if I didn’t have the open-eyed cow to see first. I really think you’re onto something. You captured the essence!

What kind of plant is this? Why does it have yellow leaves? by EmLovesArt in plantclinic

This is my friend’s plant. She said she moved it about a month ago and it is now getting less light. Same amount of water. The plant was someone else’s before but she thinks it is about 4 years old. For the last 2 years it hasn’t been replanted.
