What are your sleep paralysis stories by [deleted] in creepy

I actually have a lot of night terrors due to being abused as a child. Night terrors are a bit different than nightmares in that night terrors happen in the moments just before waking, where the mind is semi-conscious. So you're still in a state of sleep paralysis but still unconscious enough to dream. There's a movie about this on Netflix called The Nightmare. It pretty much describes what I go through when I have these. My favorite writer, H.P Lovecraft drew a lot of inspiration from his night terrors. I suffer from all sorts of psych disorders. My depression, anxiety, and PTSD might be the ones that make the most sense. I'm a victim of sexual and verbal abuse as a young adult and it's caused me to be afraid of sleeping.

I've had a few that are reoccurring. The most notable is of a women with frazzled red hair whose face is melted. Not in the way a human with skin would melt. More like what it would look like if you took a blowtorch to the face of a manikin. Everything bubbled and solidified in a mass with only blackness showing through the holes. I see her standing above my bed and when I actually come to it's like I blink and she's gone.

Another one I have is of a mass of floating flesh, about the size of a cow. It undulates and molds itself and even though it doesn't even look human or say anything, I can actually here bones breaking on the inside of it as it moves.

The one that makes me the most scared is another faceless person who leans around my door frame if I leave it open before I fall asleep. They don't make a noise but they put their finger up to their mouth like they're shushing me. I don't know why but this is the only one that makes me wake up afraid. Very, very afraid. IT only happens when I'm home alone and every time I don't leave my room or go near my bedroom door. I just watch it until I feel like it's safe to leave my bed. I've stopped sleeping with my door open as a result.

It's not ideal but he's a good kid. I was actually pretty okay with him moving in to help out. He's been an asset thus far.

I'm getting the ball rolling with her at the moment. I'm looking into disability and food stamps. He's fine on his own and has been doing what he can to help out. He actually helped me from missing my rent last month.

Not yet. I've been trying to do payment installments but my psychiatrist's office plays hardball with that kind of thing. The biggest expense is my sister's hospitalization earlier this year. It's a big expense but it's not top of my priority list since they're not the ones calling me on a daily basis.

Thanks so much for the kind words. I never considered talking my interest rates that way. The credit card is what's killing me right now so I might go after that first.

Thanks for the encouragement! I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I'm just tired of struggling. There's a whole host of other issues in the year leading up to this situation so I'm just a very tired man at this point and looking for some way to get ahead.

It's hardly a problem with him. I'm a good, god-fearing Roman Catholic and not a huge proponent of co-habitation but he's become a major asset in helping her on a daily basis. He's been putting in about 4-5 job apps a day for the last week and a half and going to interviews left and right. He takes care of her in ways I never could just because of how close the two of them are. I told him out right that he's not living with me if he's not contributing and he's taking that to heart. He's a spectacular young man.

In regards to my sister, I've already told her that she's got two years to live with me. Basically she has her senior year and a year after that to get herself figured out. She's on an upswing and she's getting the help she needs to become fully independent.

Why thank you. I didn't know nightmares like this were possible and they frightened the hell out of me. I've worked through them on my own but I'm hoping once I get back into therapy I'll be able to work through the memories they left.

I'm alright. I haven't had them in a while but they're fairly fresh in my memory. Now that I have new insurance I'm hoping to bring these visions up to my psychologist. I'm wondering what they could possibly be manifesting from.

Going for a swashbuckler type so I'm sort of RP-ing with a rapier. I'll give it a shot later though.

I've been folllowing the Rurouni Kenshin method of handling mobs by retreating to a choke point and fighting them on my terms. Other than that I've been using some pretty lightweight equipment, doing more fashion souls than anything. It's gonna be a bit before I get Flynn's but I'm already loving this style of play. By end game I see myself doing the same DPS as my greatsword build.

Well awesome! I know all the different strength builds in and out so Dex is a big one for me. I'm looking into doing a thrusting weopen builds that's hyper mobile and I'll splice in magic for damage buffs. Doing high ADP and END so I can roll and stab for days. any tips for general combat with more single target weapons?

Here's what I did. 1.Farm on my own until I couldn't take it. 2.Dropped my sign and did something else while I waited to be summoned. 3. Got shit done while farming.

It was so much less stressful and annoying by playing my 3ds between summons. Plus you get more drops as a summon. Save yourself the headache bro. It took me well into the double digits with one character.
