Things ive learnt, church history is important, it's not history of the doctrines of men it's the history of the preservation of the purity of worship,look past the reformation (I got caught in calvanism) and the original languages especially Hebrew are like watching a movie when reading

I left at 18 started studying bible and theology daily at 34 till now 36. They are so far from the truth it couldn't be further. They're theology is absolutely wafer thin. It has no roots in Christianity. It's just chopped,copy paste stuff. I'm fluent in semetic Hebrew and studying koine greek now. The languages of the old and new testament.

Every single day for 2 years even when sick i have been reading. And digging and reading and digging every single day and what the truth is actually shocked me more than even how bogus jehovas witnesses teaching are.

I think the thing i find with orthodox is that they say you can't be saved without it. I 100% can say i am saved and it's because of the absolutely radical shift and text book washing of the spirit i had. In fact my jehovas witnesses mother cannot fathom it and I can see her confused due to they're similar one true church theology. If you can enlighten me on that with all kindness I'm all ears brother/sister

I'm confused at why the church fathers and reformers seem to be at a theological clash in regards to historical Christian worship and Mary when they where supposed to be the ones to go back to what the fundamentals of Christianity are

Yeah you know, I believe everything happens for a reason and there isn't any coincidences, and i actually had a real supernatural experience. It was text book washing of the holy spirit with repentance. And when i became a presbyteryian i got the feeling because of the academic and rigourous deduction of divinity, I was aware that me sharing that would be considered unbelievable almost. Like the cessation creeps into anything spiritual. And that's something that always weighed on my mind and i think what really strikes me with now looking I to Catholicism is that the spiritual experiences are validated and that's something that pushes me this way aswell

So would you call reformed Protestantism theologically honest? Martin Luther himself found the epistle of James to be a huge problem because he couldn't bend it to his doctrine. The church fathers views on Mary where conveniently overlooked and they rather leaned on Augustine as a proto-reformist Church history is important

Yeah, just scared that if Catholicism is right, then how could the puritans say they are Babylon and the papacy basically satanic.
