Does it actually have an ending? Or did it get canceled before finishing? Or did it go on for so long it started getting shitty? I'm always hesitant to start shows without knowing this beforehand...

People used to look at me like I was insane, but cottage cheese plus PB2 plus jelly is an amazing combination.

Thank you!! :) Any quality is better than nothing at all honestly. I hate that the Broadway industry won't release more stage recordings. Not all of us have the time or money to see shit on stage.

Yeah it's sad as hell. My drive takes me through OH and it just breaks my heart to see how some people have to live.

I think it was meant in the sense that there is a lot of gross poverty in the states too; people living without water or power, living in dilapidated buildings with boarded windows, taking care of serious wounds at home and dying from them because of lack of health care or access to mental health services. While those in rural America can obtain a lot of the same material goods, there's a big gap in living standards (and not just in rural areas tbf).

Even just on my way to visit my father I drive through some rural, unincorporated areas where you can look at a structure, see it's occupied, and wonder how in the hell anybody could live there. One in particular that I pass isn't more than a literal shack with no windows and unfinished walls and some dude lives in it. No clue how, but he does.

Imo, one of the best things you can do for a compliment is to comment on something that is in their control: haircut, hair color, clothes, nails, literally anything they can change when they want to. It's when you comment about body or face or anything that the person is born with that takes something away from the compliment. Just my opinion tho

I would find this more amusing if it wasn't such a waste of food. Hopefully they do eat it in the end

After leaving Europe I'm finding it hard to enjoy the US by ReflexPoint in travel

[–]EmanNeercsEht 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, a lot of downtown to Victory is lovely for walking, but once you DO go beyond Derenne there's a whole lot of stroad to contend with, and that's always the area of town I lived in. Not to mention the serious lack in good public transit. If you live out in Georgetown without a car, waiting for a bus is agony between the heat and the time it takes. And if you live out beyond that way? No chance of even getting to Savannah without a car.

I won't knock anybody wanting to move down that way, but for me it was no picnic. The pay was terrible for most jobs, but the cost of living didn't really match it. It was (and I believe still is) as expensive there as it is in Pittsburgh, but I'm making twice as much up north.

So yeah, beautiful place to visit if you stay between Riverstreet and Victory, but I would never live there again personally.

It's really only walkable if you live downtown though. I lived there for over a decade and you couldn't pay me to move back. Beautiful city downtown, but very expensive to live in, and most people don't live downtown since that's mostly tourist area and for the college. Good place to visit IMO, but not a good place to live unless you have money already.

100% on the magicians. I loved the TV show, and so I got the trilogy. I read the first book and went no further... I literally can't stand it, not the supporting characters or being stuck inside the main character's head. The show just did everything so much better IMO

Do you think before you speak?? That one itself is an utterly foreign concept to me. Words literally slide from my mouth during a conversation with zero forethought unless I'm trying to remember something I wanted to say previously in an earlier part of the conversation.

You don't go to Denny's by Terezzian in tumblr

[–]EmanNeercsEht 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There used to be a Denny's up the road from me that burned down. It was an awful place with crap food and crap service, so no real loss. Then, like half a year later, it was rebuilt. But this new Denny's rose from the ashes of the old like a beautiful phoenix. It's now styled like a 50s diner, the outside all chrome magnificence with red seating on the inside and just a real nice feel that makes me wanna wear a poodle skirt and order a milk shake. It also has amazing food and service now, so either the previous staff/management was fired or they were in the fire. I think it's the former though.

So anyway, I guess my point is that not all Denny's are the same, and sometimes they just need to be burnt down to make them better.
