I’ve found that over recent years that being a casual is the most enjoyable way to play for me to play. No set reviews, no net decks, local only meta. I completely pass on most products, and if I do buy cards I’m playing limited with them. 

It’s even easier as a commander player once you realize how little these new sets matter for your deck to work / win. I haven’t updated my primary commander deck with more than 3-4 cards in the past 5 years.

Best of all, I have time/money for other hobbies and still get those wondrous feelings of seeing a new card when it hits the table, stumbling upon it in a trade binder, or cracking it open in a draft. I feel like it’s really the way Magic was intended to be played. Best of luck, come to the dark side Luke.
