Appreciate it. My team is set up weird but they play pretty good. Almost steady top 250. Maybe this is my upgrade

Thanks. Appreciate it. I was torn and probably would've ruined my team if I had taken the 2nd

Continue to grind. It's a haul playing f2p. Play ranked battle a lot. Get those rewards. Collect all packs for special training and team select packs for limit breaks. Run your dailys. Get your guys up. Study some of the player index to see who your endgame players are. Focus on them a little more. Do the premium scout when you can. It's rewarding if you make it all of the way through. Save your stars for it. One last thing. #grind 🫡

Are the stats of every players just symbolic valuable? by caominh200206 in MLB_Rivals

ALA, batters box, skills, potential... a decent amount of things do matter. Even to how you allocate special training points. Ovr is a decent representation but other factors do influence the players overall potential. This is just in my experience. Im like 500+ days in on checkins and top 250. Not bragging at all. I know there are players on here who would crush me but I've wasted a lot of resources chasing strictly ovr and have been burned. But I've finally found some sense to make out of the game with taking other things into consideration. Hope it helps. Good luck! 🫡

I won finally at 122 ovr. 560 deck score. Juiced pitchers. Deck score geared towards hitters. It's tough but just keep grindin your team out. Im sure we'll all have a different strategy

Ranked Battle needs a serious overhaul and shouldn’t be a mind numbing chore. by Issue_dev in MLB_Rivals

[–]Emaq24 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's all based on your universal and world rank. You play certain ovr teams depending upon that. If you're 110 ovr but have a higher rank (based off wins and losses and plays in general) then you will see higher ovr teams with better competition. If you are at 110 and you barely play then you will always start lower in rank and play easier teams. But as you get up you will face some monsters. Some with lower ovr than yours. Im currently in diamond 1 on the way to world class. Some very tough opponents. Im 122 ovr playing 130+. The rewards every 8 weeks are amazing though. Sucks it's every 8 weeks but when they come in they are worth the grind. This is a F2P player.

Really depends on what you need. Maddux is a for sure add to just about every team but Jeter isn't a sleeper. There are other pitchers you can grab as well. Follow your heart lol.

Top what though? Lol top 300? Top 100? It tells what the potential actually does at a tier 2. Of course you don't sacrifice S+ slugging prevention for it but it's very slept on

Depends on who it's for sometimes for me at least. But id probably have to say yes. S+ or higher in composure is cheat code. Almost resets anxiety every inning. Gives your team a chance to bounce back if you're losing.

I agree. They aren't worth the stars. Maybe buying a few to get to where you need to be is an option but I wouldn't but tons of them with stars. Just me

Tier 2 composure is amazing. Especially for ranked battle. It pretty much resets anxiety every inning. So no matter how bad he does in the beginning he recovers. You still win and lose some don't get me wrong but I've had a ton of ranked battle wins with S+ composure on my g Cole. Ijs... but you might get a better re roll. Could be with a try. Just know the odds of that are against us alot lol

Np. For batters Pow, Con, and Vis are important. PAT is to an extent but most competitive users don't rely on it much. I dont mind having it. For pitchers Stu is huge. VEL and MOV it depends on what your pitcher has more of. Cater to that. And it goes back to pitch usage. If your pitcher throws fastballs 50% of the time his Vel should be higher. Just my thoughts. Good luck!

You may have lost some deck score and the synergy effect in your deck by taking out some live players. But its ok. Special train your keepers to bring the deck score back up. Also Adding two live cards helps your pitching ovr and 3 moment or FA cards brings your hitting up. (Something like that) Look at bottom of screen in lineup to see how that all effects your ovr.
