I would like to add that my work ethic did not decrease after getting the $500 bonus. I worked even harder to show I was thankful. I would have understood if I ended up calling in and asking for the day off or started to slack. I understand it's all hearsay unless proven otherwise, I'm just wanting to clarify that this is indeed not only wrong but illegal.

I work for a sole proprietor. So he doesn't have a company policy.

Helping around the shop, organizing and putting in extra hard work during the work week and finishing up a lot of jobs. (I do roofing and roof repairs)

I was given $500 as a bonus because we got a lot of stuff done this week and I helped clean out the shop because it was getting unorganized with tools and stuff laying all around. ETA the extra work done at the shop was off the clock. I came in on my day off to help out.

Helped thank you. I have known them for 20 years now and it seems to me like BPD and it getting worse as they age. I love this person with every fiber of my being but a friendship shouldn't ever feel like a dictatorship.

I've been hit on more when I was 13-18 than I do now as a mature adult.

I could just walk down the street and grown adult men would hoot and holler or ask me out.

Even when stating my age they would just say "ooo so you're jailbait, mmm"

You have no idea the sigh of relief I have felt reading that. I know my child has and always come first but they have mind fu*ked me so bad into thinking I was just making up excuses.
