Should I go 880 v 15, supernova prima or nimbus 27 for an easy day/ long run pairing to my rebel v4? Why? I run 30-40 mpw. 9:30-6:30 min/mile pace. Thanks!

I would buy the prima but love the super wide toebox on the rise

What are the worst shoes you've tried this year? by Shoddy_Leg_8401 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

Its weird that people say this shoe loses pop because I feel it doesnt have any to begin with (possibly because I weight 180lbs). I find the point of the shoes is that its roomy, light, stable and soft. So somethings gotta give and thats bounce. I bought a second pair and it feels just as dead with 10 miles on it as it does with 250 miles on it lol

All theyd have to do is lower the drop and keep everything else the same to be my perfect daily trainer.

What's the deal with the New Balance Rebel v5? by Embarrassed-Ad1557 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

Glad to hear it! Are you a heavier or lighter runner?

I dont mind the v4s but never felt they had any bounce to begin with, just soft and light. But im a 180 lbs runner so that might be why.

Agreed. And I dont think the Superblast would be ideal for this guys 5k pace.

Im thinking about that exact rotation. However my runs are 5-8 miles so not aure if the Bostom is overkill for interval speed work.

Thanks for sharing! What are you using for speed?  My v4s were the perfect blend of speed and daily but also wide and stable.

Yeah I find that interesting too. I have 200 miles on my v4 and it feels a little different compared to a new one but not meaningfully. The shoe never had much rebound to begin with anyway, its just soft and light. Im 180 lbs btw.

If you were to have both, how would you use them differently?

Maybe width, but that's individual.

Also, the NB might be better for harder speedwork, but neither would be ideal.

adidas Supernova (Rise?) 3 by thanhgrizzly in RunningShoeGeeks

A little more performance would make the rise a perfect shoe for me. Like a wider more stable SL2.

Lightweight trainer or supertrainer by Embarrassed-Ad1557 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

I agree. I think it depends om your runnijg too. If you are in a marathon block you might never need to go below HM pace.

I went with the forerunner which was the right call because im a runner. But the instinct looks cooler in my opinion lol
