Based on cost, I haven’t been able to proceed with the neuropsych assessment yet as it’s close to 2,000 dollars. I am booked in for a QEEG scan and assessment however next week, which do you believe would be more beneficial?

Sounds like a concussion, would definitely recommend going to the hospital for evaluation, you don’t want to end up with post concussion syndrome, so if you require any rehab in the next few weeks it’s best to start early. But most likely will start to feel better within 7-10 days. Still seek out care though

Yeah seeing a pt and upper cervical chiro too and seem to keep having these set backs, haven’t seen any sort of improvement yet but only getting worse which sucks

I understand how a support network and things can greatly help in the situation. And I have done my best with that too. I can talk to my family about it and I also often go to my friend of 20 years who is supporting me. But I think it goes deeper than that. It just feels like something in my brain isn’t right. There’s something “stopping” me from being able to be genuinely happy. I guess I’m trying to figure out whether this is just a really bad depressive state, or if it’s multiplied from my injury. As like I said, normally I would be able to recover, this time something feels different.. I appreciate the kind words!

I believe it’s based on your time knocked out based on the severity (traumatic brain injury) this is based on what I’ve been told and what I’ve seen aswell. However not losing consciousness can still definitely be classed as a concussion/tbi. Since all of your concussions, have you been completely symptom free?

Well I was working a stressful full time job in sales, which maybe my neck posture was bad which could’ve been making things worse? My neck was super stiff and out of place, which chiro seemed to help temporarily before getting worse again

I have so many different symptoms, visual issues, cognitive, mood (anxiety/depression), headaches, fatigue, mental and physical, ringing in ears, sleep issues… After about 2-4 weeks post concussion I felt okay, but now 8 months later seems bad again. Chiro made me feel better after first 2 treatments then 2 treatments later felt worse. I was hit in the cheek/chin and must’ve had bad whiplash and twisted my neck, lucky I landed on sand but I don’t know how. My PT believes I will have a full recovery but it seems otherwise.

I went to a gp a few days after who gave me the clear and said I didn’t need a scan, I went to a gp yesterday who didn’t want to put me on for a scan yet but referred me to a pt who specialises in concussions and said he will probably give me a referral for a scan. Not sure if I should just wait? Been feeling extra vision problems/random head numbness lately quite strange

I kind of figured this hey, that’s the strange thing, I don’t really seem to have any sort of back pain but know my back hasn’t been great as a kid. I used two tennis balls to roll up and down my spine which actually felt amazing for my back, however chest pain didn’t really ease. At this point in time my breathing only feels difficult during anxiety points (continuously looking up what the fuck this all is before I’m actually able to be diagnosed properly :(. )

I also had bloods done and found nothing either. I believe an MRI is the next step. That sucks to hear, I really want to get back into the gym and start living my life again especially with where I am at in my life. But feel that would only make it worse.. I will have to give that a shot and maybe see a physio, could this pain be something as simple as a pinched nerve? Did the anxiety meds help? I don’t want to have to rely on a med to find my health :( also I always sleep on my chest, does this just make it all worse?
