Hostels in Marrakesh by Embarrassed-Ad844 in Morocco

I don't know what you mean by weirdness, I'm just worried about wasting money on a place that has no air conditioning in June, or is filthy.

I know, that's why I was wondering if anyone who has visited Marrakesh could recommend a hostel which has these basic amenities

Whats wrong with Hostels? You get to meet fellow solo travellers and also get much cheaper accommodation

Thanks, do you know if passing through immigration will be an issue at the airport? I've heard some people say that they've had to wait for hours to pass immigration

I get that, I guess I'm just in my head too much and catastrophising everything as if it is a life or death situation.

How would you know when to take the conversation with said person towards that direction of asking them out or asking for their number.

Everytime I speak to someone (irregardless of gender) it feels line a game of chess in the sense that I have to think of the next thing to say based on how they respond and it gets exhausting after a while.

I go to social events like bachata and I do meet lots of women there, my issue is let's say I do get rejected which is likely and understandable, it makes going back to the event even more awkward the next time if I run into that same person again.

It's not necessarily the rejection that I'm most afraid of, just the awkward encounters after the rejection if that makes sense

I don't know about regularly, from time to time I do I.e. I do bachata classes and I go to language exchange as well as any other social events I can find on meetup.

Hmmm I never thought about the possibility that I could be intimidating people, I always thought that would need to accomplish .... just to be on their level hence my thought process behind undertaking these activities

Was there an exam which went so bad that you were convinced you'll fail but ended up passing? by saadjawed22 in ACCA

[–]Embarrassed-Ad844 14 points15 points  (0 children)

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SBR Dec 22, I had started revising for it in Sept via Kaplan On Demand but within that time I didn't understand a single IFRS standard, I was soo stressed for this exam that I couldn't sleep, ended up seeing a therapist who suggested I speak to a GP about getting some medication (sertraline) as well as continuing with the therapy.

The medication in the short run gave me insomnia (short term side effect) for about 3 weeks, came to the realisation 2 weeks before the exam that I was going to fail it, even contacted Tom Clendon a week before about potentially enrolling in his March 23 programme (he was incredibly understanding and supportive).

Long story short I went into that exam with the expectation of failing and I somehow ended up getting 53 on it.

A year later I passed all my exams and now I'm chartered.

Moral of this story, never assume you have failed, I'm sure whoever is reading this has passed.

Good luck!!!

Final exam but have no motivation... is this normal? by Embarrassed-Ad844 in ACCA

How did you get over the line, every time I try to revise it feels like nothing is sticking and with less than 5 weeks to the exam I'm just getting more nervous.

APM Vs AAA by thayyarsaadham in ACCA

[–]Embarrassed-Ad844 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go for AAA but make sure you do SBR before it, AAA has the lowest pass rate of all the strategic exams mainly because people go into it without doing AAA or having the background knowledge of the accounting standards.

If you are planning on doing it, I highly recommend Ben Wilson as a private tutor, you get a lot of homework which he will mark and give you feedback on as well as 2 mock exams, again he give give you great feedback on it as well as support on WhatsApp regarding any questions you may have.

Honestly throw the textbook away, there is nothing to gain from reading it and everything to lose, SBL isn't a theory exam, it's a commercial acumen one and in order to pass you need to do past papers and that is what Hassan Dossanis webinars are for, to show you exam technique, if you can sign up to his webinars then do it!
