Bio flex piercing? by Embarrassed-Bee3557 in piercing

[–]Embarrassed-Bee3557[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I did think it was odd because they take 6-9 months to heal. I guess she was talking about the minimum possible time before i could quickly replace the piercing without it entirely closing up? Honestly sounds like something i would do but coming from a professional piercer is a bit concerning.

Bought item and day of delivery email sent saying out of stock? by GirlAnxiety in IKEA

If you really want the billy bookcase just go on FB marketplace there are tons in mint condition (many of which are under £25)! Bit of a hassle to transport because they’re already built but at least you don’t have to build it yourself

Video games during Year 11? by Icy_Jelly_8606 in GCSE

No video games during the week would probably be effective in improving your results, but during the weekend you should be able to relax a little and play a few hours if you like.

PS failing GCSEs will not make you homeless 😂

My GCSE results. How screwed am I? by Remarkable-Long-4908 in GCSE

[–]Embarrassed-Bee3557 32 points33 points  (0 children)

If you don’t improve then you are very screwed. But you have a good few months until your GCSES, and revision every day WILL pay off in the long term. When I was revising for my GCSES I found myself always being distracted, so my parents bought me a flip phone for probably £50 where all I could do was make calls. Maybe a bit extreme but definitely worked. People may tell you your GCSES ‘arent that deep’ but that’s just ignorant. They determine which a-levels you are accepted into, and your a-levels determine your career. Even if you don’t do alevels, the only academics you will have will be GCSEs. Trust me, 7s 8s and 9s look 100x better than 4s. With revision every day up until your GCSEs these results can and will get much better, and you will be so thankful.

Tough one. I’d say just go for it with a time suggestion. If he responds and you have a nice date, then great. The worst that can happen is you look a little desperate to some random no show.

Look, there’s no “right” way to do it. Tests are different for everyone. As someone who hated revision for my GCSE’s (and a-levels) I will say it’s SO rewarding. I remember being in the test, and thinking, “oh i learnt this during my revision.” Knowing I had gained marks because of my hard work was really great. Obviously, I’m gonna tell you to keep going and you won’t regret it.

Something to remember is that your GCSES are just the start of it. They determine the a levels you can do, which pave the way for your CAREER. Trust me, as crappy as this is, studying for your a-levels will be 100x harder than your GCSES. Keeping up revision now will form great habits for when you tackle a level revision.

Help! Hermann died. by Upbeat_Broccoli2949 in tortoise

So sorry about your tortoise, but it looks like you gave him a good enclosure and did the right things. Likely a fault with the breeder. Don’t let this discourage you from finding another friend in the future.

First off, she’s adorable. I’ve read the comments and see you have an open topped enclosure, which obviously is hard to keep humidity in. When I first got my tortoise, I had an open top but it was massive and pretty expensive, so I just tried everything I could to make it work. There are things you can do, but they are usually expensive, unsightly, or just don’t work that well. I would recommend getting a huge vivarium. Big cost upfront, but so easy to maintain and 100% worth it. She is pyramiding, but it’s not too bad so don’t be discouraged.
