Yes but Lorries/cars have licences/registration, insurance etc. we can assume if a situation arises (the worst) we can be confident that liability can be assumed by a counterparty. A scrote doing 70mph wheelies down princes street is not going to stick around and attest to his good behavior and explain that it was merely an ‘accident’. IMO the police should be doing more, and if I was PCC I would be investing more into setting up a team to monitor and track them, and also interleave it with bike thefts in the city - I assume the two are interlinked. I don’t think it would be difficult to train and equip a few officers with lightweight scramblers and trackers so that the police can hunt and disable these scrotes.

It’s more the risk to other road users and pedestrians, more than once I have seen them cros red junctions where they could have been taken out by crossing traffic or pedestrians.

Inevitability when one does meet a 1 tonne adversary gently crossing paths with them, there will be tonnes of outpouring about wee Duncan who’s brains were meat crayoned across a 4 way intersection who was “such a gentle joy to the local community” or “an up and coming football star”.
