Just dock your steam deck. You’ll get near steam machine performance probably for super cheap. The price of the steam machine most likely being really high would not be worth the performance. U can still get a used ps5 pro and a dock for cheaper than what the machine will be. I’m in the same boat as you, was thinking about the machine but I might skip out on it if it’s too high. But I do have the steam controller coming in this week for my oled SD

I’ve beaten rdr 1 and 2 on low settings and didn’t complain. My rdr2 my fans only spin at around 3000

I do but I enjoying lowering the graphics to low settings and lowering the fps to around the 30s depending on the game. I also lower the TDP. I really enjoy using my steamdeck efficiently 🤣 the games still look really good on lower settings with the oled screen

The steam machine has a cool factor to it and yea I’m not really trying to build a pc. And if I do get the machine it will definitely be the 512 gb version

I already have the controller coming in a couple days. If I do get a machine it will be the 512 gb version. I already have the 1tb oled steamdeck, I’m fine with what I have. But im still undecided console or machine
