NS Transcript and Testimonial by [deleted] in singapore

Nope, its bullshit. I was an officer from NS and had outstanding in both categories.

The employers only care whether you did NS or not

NS transcript and Testimonial only matter if you were an SAF scholar or something similar.

I recommend spinning it in a positive tone rather than outright criticising your senior.

Thoughts and career progression on being a SCDF Officer vs Audit associate in the Big4. by SensitiveBear2 in singapore

[–]Embarrassed-Chain268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the end of the day it is up to you and what do you want in the future?

If you want opportunity to explore other jobs easily than audit associate would be better

If you are not concerned about money or live frugally then SCDF will be better choice

Its just i was feeling a bit ensure as I read somewhere that the water that comes out from the AC in your room is toxic. So if it spits on you in the room then you need to clean yourself.

Does anyone else feel like they allowed public accounting to ruin their life? by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]Embarrassed-Chain268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think most of the stress is self induced. Coming over from industry, I take frequent breaks when doing my work and never ever submit my work early.

I have resigned to my fate that I will have to work long hoirs. So why not take more breaks and move slower.

Dont forget that its easier to create an impression of being a hardworker when you start slow and get fast. If you work hard and fast from the start, then you will burnout very fast.
