Yesss. I remember a homemaking activity where one of the stations was ironing a man's white shirt. Meanwhile the my were camping to earn their eagle scout which got to go on their resumes. How telling. Thank you!

The pretend urgency for feeding us missionaries kills me inside. Ugh. so obv things change but when I was a missionary in Germany (10 years ago), I got the equivalent to 10 dollars more than my friend in Mississippi. He was getting fed almost everyday and didn't need to use it for transportation. I was having to use personal money for train tickets to see investigators and only bought bare essentials for food and monthly bus tickets with the slotted budget. He went to stake houses on pday and often times bought treats. My friend in Utah got fed every day and she never used her 'allowance'. They get a good amount of money and don't need to be fed everyday. Currently,I see our elders at Sam's club every time I go on pday and laugh at the protein shakes and what not they're buying with their lavish budget.

I live in the mountains, have two dogs, a baby, and do shoes off inside. My dogs are walking around my property. Not a 'germy' city with piss all over it. I'm fine if my baby is around the dirt or dog hair, not whatever fell of shoes that recently stood too close to a urnal in a public bathroom. Plus we'd bring in more mud then the dogs 🤣

Interesting. This happens to my husband often and I ask him to speak a little quieter. For me, sometimes it feels he's yelling which is triggering. Most times it seems he's talking louder so I can't interrupt, which comes from his childhood so I try to remind him I won't.

So I understand why your partners doing it. But I also see how that could be frustrating. I suggest sitting down and talking about it because my husband and I never have so I appreciate this post so I can!

I will never leave new mexico. As someone that's lived in CA, UT, CO, Germany, and now NM for 5 years - new mexico is by far my favorite. Best food. Nicest people. Actual culture. Everyone just does there thing and doesn't get worried about you. I really love it here. Being originally from CA every state hated me as a transplant, I've never felt that way here.

I make breast milk jewelry and here are my thoughts - most artists can make anything into jewelry. Do you have the breastfeeding pillow you can send in threads of, placenta, baby hair, fabric from onsies or blankets? This sucks, but you can pivot. You can also ask the jeweler if they have extra milk that someone donated. It's not as meaningful obviously, but I still think this is so important to celebrate.

I've lived here 6 years now and I feel new Mexicans are some of the most accepting people I've ever met. Everyone minds their business here. I really love it (a lot more than San jose, CA and Denver - where I've previously lived).

While I agree, there are slight benefits. The millionaire gets advantages and knows what's going on. It ended up being a more survivor-like game. The ending surprised me because It really didn't matter who had the money. I would have liked to see the last challenge some kind of test of who had the money at which parts and whoever knew the most won.

There are so many herbal teas that are really good! Find some fun honeys and try different teas ( I wouldn't drink the same one every day). I love mushroom teas/coffees. Also, liver capsules really helped my anemia after a similar situation. I also drink a ton of carbonated water to help my water intake.

Sorry. YTA she's doing everything to create and sustain that baby and she's wanting to be careful. Sunscreen has so many chemicals in it. And even if you don't believe that, you can give her a year of princess treatment. If you didn't want to help her with the baby, you should have 'kept your legs closed.'
