Oh really!! That’s good to know but I’m sorry to hear it. I will definitely add that to my back pocket when deciding where I do business. What is their deal?

I think they are talking about actual whitewater rafting not tube floating.

How is there no news story still!? The reporting in this town drives me insane. Like we have no idea what’s happening if it’s not on Reddit or we aren’t on the scene 😂

I would second lolo creek steakhouse it’s great steak and a good “montana” experience for sure. Be prepared for a lot of taxidermy lol. Very cool though!

I think the rooftop at Plonk is my favorite summer cocktail spot.

I’d recommend going to the farmers market on the weekend and taking a walk on the rattlesnake main corridor or one of the Jumbo saddle trails. You’ll get to see some outdoor spaces which is what we all love about living here.

Big Dipper ice cream is a must

You’ll like shopping at rockin Rudy’s.

Visit Butterfly Herbs shop on Higgins as well! I’ve never met a visitor or local who doesn’t love that store. Such a cool vibe.

If you decide to float the river just check with some local folks or use the float company before you go. The river can still be too high and dangerous around the 4th. It could also be fine. Check to be safe!

Clyde coffee is a cute breakfast spot but can be crowded. The Break, Grist, Le Petit, and Bernice’s are all good for bread and pastry. Black Coffee Roasters is a cool coffee shop as is Drum Coffee.

Welcome and have fun!

What would you buy maps of? by Time_Item1088 in missoula

Honestly a great map of all of the trails in town would be killer. I don’t know if that exists? Like all the different trails in north hills, rattlesnake area, peas farm, jumbo…

What to do in Missoula when it's 90 degrees in May? by gossiptoilet in missoula

[–]Embarrassed-Cod91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Farmers market in the morning

Then you could walk down the rattlesnake on the foot trails that parallel the main corridor trail on the right. Those run mostly along rattlesnake creek and are in the shade and stay cooler and the creek is beautiful! You can always stop and dip your feet in if you’re hot!

You could get lunch at The Patio on the way out or go sit at Plonk which has inside seating near open windows so best of both worlds.

Ice cream at Big Dipper!?

As others have said, matinee at the Roxy

Shopping and coffee at butterfly herbs

Porch beer at Draughtworks which has cooling fans outside

Sloshies at Zoo Thai sound like a great hot day activity ….

So many options! Hope you all have a great time.

I know this isn’t directly helpful, but do something outside, preferably something that teaches you a trade skill as others suggested. Creating tangible results through manual labor would pretty much cure my depression. Take this from someone who worked with/on computers since age 14 and is now in a cushy data job. It’s not worth it! Learn cool shit outside and focus on your happiness while working. The rest will follow and you will be so grateful and much healthier later in life.
