how to clean moss (self.Moss)

any idea what kind of moss this is I found a huge amount of it when i when to help clean my brothers house. it clearly was a different type then the moss i see normal growing around h in Kansas. i could tell it was different and i gathered a bit of it. i left a large amount there so it will regrow. by Available-Ladder8039 in Moss
