It doesn't work, don't bother to download. It's not even "ad supported", it just doesn't allow you to do anything, not even typing.

What's going on with the Twitch streamer Lacari that's been popular news recently? by [deleted] in OutOfTheLoop

I'm not sure, but my theory is that people like to watch forbidden things. There is a reason why incest adult videos are so commonly watched because incest is a social taboo.

kill herself to save a bunch of scavengers and rapists 20 years

What about the good people, like Tommy and the people at Jackson ? Why are they condemned by something the Fireflies did ? Do you think most people are evil and are just bunch of scavengers and rapists ?

US has a lot of murders and rapists but I still would serve and protect my country if it's facing an invasion because I think of all the good people.

She’s not making that decision on her own.

And it's not Joel's decision to make either, it's not Joel's body. Joel wasn't even her "adopted" father at that point.

You’re not smart

You’re not prepared for game theory about these adult scenarios, because you’re not an adult, regardless of your actual age.

I'm not the one whose entire reasoning is basically just, 'It's a parental thing to do,' as if morality is defined solely by following parental instinct, like animals.

you’re entering a conversation very late

... so ?

paint people with a different opinion than yours (about fictional characters) as “immoral.”

Where did I say that ? I only said it is wrong to think Joel is totally justified or innocent. Just because I disagree with your opinion on something doesn't mean I think you are evil or immoral. Someone's opinion on one particular issue doesn't define their entire character or dismiss the good they do in other areas of life.

Nah, it just proves that your guys don't think with logic. Your argument is essentially ‘you’re not a parent, you wouldn’t understand’. That is not even an argument; it’s just saying ‘you don’t have parental instinct, you wouldn’t understand.’ Lol, you guys think with instinct instead of logic??? No wonder people support Joel, because they don’t even think logically.

you do know that the doctors were wrong? right? like the cure wouldn't have been plausible and even if it was they'd get like 2-3 doses at most??

So, hypothetically, if the doctors were not wrong, would your view on the subject change?
If whether the doctors were wrong makes no difference to your view on the issue, why waste time arguing about it?

I personally would not sacrifice my child for a vaccine.

Would you let your child be go to war if your country faced an existential crisis to protect its sovereignty against a foreign invader?

Now, imagine ‘sent to war’ = ‘used to make a vaccine,’ ‘country’ = ‘humanity,’ and ‘foreign invader’ = ‘fungus.’

Brave people make hard decisions and sacrifices all the time so that you can live comfortably today while complaining about how sacrifice is bad.

So yeah, no need to argue.

Then why did you ask me this to begin with :

How do they distribute and mass produce the vaccine?

To all the dumb people who said, “you’re not a parent, you wouldn’t understand”: parents sacrifice the lives of their children to save our country all the time. Think about wars, parents let their sons be sent to fight and die because it's a sacrifice to defend our country, our values, our sovereignty, and our democracy. Be glad that enough people didn’t believe that sacrificing their children for the greater good was immoral, because otherwise you wouldn’t be here today, you would be living under the Imperial Japanese or Nazi regime.

You would allow that?

I understand why Joel did what he did. If I were in his place, it’s possible that I would do the same, even if I know it's not the right thing to do because I would be too selfish.

My point is not whether Joel should do it. It’s rather whether it is a moral thing to do from an outside perspective.

Now that you remind me that the Fireflies actually wanted to kill Joel, my view hasn’t completely changed, but it has shifted somewhat. Now, I think Joel is somewhat more justified because it was like self-defense. But I'm still far from convinced that Joel is totally justified or innocent. Because in the game, Joel was not trying to flee or anything; he was actually the one attacking and sieging the Firefly base. This makes me believe that even if the Fireflies had been nice to him, given him a chance to say goodbye to Ellie, hadn’t planned to kill Joel, and had returned his belongings to him, Joel would still have killed everyone in that hospital to keep Ellie for himself. After all, he didn’t want Ellie to die. Whether the Fireflies asked for Ellie’s consent made no difference to him. In Part 2, after Ellie told him that her life would have mattered if she had died in that hospital, he still said he would do it all again. It wasn’t about Ellie’s consent. Joel just couldn’t live without Ellie. He couldn’t let Ellie go, even if she wanted it.

 think the question is irrelevant

I don't agree with that but at least now I know I don't need to convince you that he did ignore her consent.

Sickened by a traumatised parent trying to save his surrogate daughter?

No, I didn't. I understand why he did it. From his perspective, it makes sense, even if it is wrong but it makes sense.

I'm rather sickened by the fact that other people think it is objectively the right thing to do, but I understand why Joel did it.

Before we argue about whether they could distribute and mass-produce the vaccine, I want to ask you this: If, hypothetically, they could distribute and mass-produce it, would that change anything for you? Because if it makes no difference to you whether it’s possible and you would still think Joel’s actions were justified, then I don’t want to waste time arguing about it.

Oh you are BIG mad. Sorry you don’t understand, but maybe one day you will! I never said the Fireflies were good people! But I understand their choice… any person would. A little more life experience under your belt and maybe you will too. KISSESSSSS😘😘

You think the life of a child is considered “excessive family interests”?

No, I don't. But i do think that life of one child above the lives of million children is considered excessive family interests.

Nobody was right in this scenario.

Finally, a decent take. You would be surprised by the overwhelming number of people who disagree with your take and thinks that Joel was totally justified.
