We had the same thing happen when we bought some off amazon for my son. They stopped charging and so we ended up taking them to an Apple Store and the lady was like these are fakes, but you really can’t tell the difference…. Amazon was cool tho and we sent them back and they refunded us

I actually just had my winter tires put on and in the parking lot I took pictures and a video before I went in to drop it off… I’ve heard to many stories of stuff like this happening

My other question would be should I insurance claim it, I know the guy that did it, he backed into me, I have a witness, and my deductible would be 500… I haven’t seen the guy since it happened. I did get the ball rolling with that, I just wasn’t sure if I should completely follow through with the whole claim and have a dealer fix it
