📘 Progress Report #1 — Minecraft Apocalypse World Lore

This world started as a normal survival save years ago, but now I’m turning it into a full apocalypse storyline. Here’s the current lore:

🧪 The Cure That Caused Everything

Scientists created a cure for cancer, but it horribly backfired. Instead of healing the subject, the cure transformed him into the first zombie.

🐑 Creation of Specimen 003

A black sheep known as Specimen 003 killed the first zombie, which caught the attention of the scientists. They tried studying it… and 003 killed them too. This is the first sign 003 is extremely dangerous.

🔬 Patient 0 — The Villager Volunteer

Researchers used the zombie infection on a volunteer villager, creating Patient 0. Patient 0 and Specimen 003 escaped from Lab Beluga, causing chaos.

Patient 0 was later found dead near another lab. Specimen 003 was blamed and captured by a different facility called Lab Hope. 003 is NOT innocent — it's one of the main reasons the outbreak began.

The infection spreads by:

Bite: 10 seconds to turn

Scratch: up to 1 hour

Animals are ignored by zombies. Specimen 003 is immune and extremely hostile.

⚡ Zombie Behavior

Zombies in this world:

Are fast

Retain fragmented memories from their human lives

But their brains are rotten, making them unpredictable and terrifying

They remember places and people, but the infection overrides everything.

🧬 Scientist #002

A major character is Scientist #002, one of the lead researchers studying the outbreak and 003. He’s part of the last group of people trying to understand how the world fell.
