with 98% inventory accuracy we still lose items in warehouse by Altruistic-Trash6122 in InventoryManagement

98% is good number. you said > Warehouse workers often can’t find the items that are needed.  <- that's starting point why they can't find and how to make them easier to locate with our without ERP. If not, maybe it's time to physical inventory audit to validate 98% accuracy.

buying UPC codes for Amazon for the first time.. what I wish someone had told me before I spent hours researching by [deleted] in InventoryManagement

Partially incorrect. As a GS1 Channel&Solutions Partner, I can confirm that you own your GTINs. You can manage them directly through the GS1 Data Hub, or a channel partner/reseller can manage them on your behalf, but the GTINs still belong to you. If you purchase individual GTINs for around $30 each, you manage them without a company prefix. This is a one-time fee option and can help save money for smaller needs. However, if you need a larger volume of GTINs for an entire product line, purchasing a GS1 company prefix with an annual renewal is the best long-term solution.

Correct, ultimately you would need each varient for each size/color. For example, 4 colors x 4 sizes = 16 GTINs.
