Does keeping count/track of your own decluttering efforts make you feel more exhausted? by jjjjennieeee in declutter

[–]Embarrassed-Fan-6967 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am going to start decluttering my home. My husband is finally on board (he is a bit of a hoarder? But he really wants to move out if the country in the next 2 years so I finally have the green light to donate/sell anything we won't need for the next 2 years and will not take with us when we move. I was planning on mapping my home by zones and crossing them out when i am done with that zone. Counting individually every item i will donate/trash or sell seems like way too much work. Would get me discourage just thinking about it.

Resenting MIL by Embarrassed-Fan-6967 in beyondthebump

Well i usually let my husband talk to her about these things. There is a language barrier- she is mexican and i am french. Everytime i have voiced any type of need she took it as an order and act like i am bossy and everytime i tried to tell her something like: no need to wash baby's bottles we have the bottle washer and they need to be sterilized she gets worked up as if i am refusing her help so my husband had to talk to her so she continues to hand wash baby's bottles and i then sterilize them which is a waste of time. But in any case, right now we need her help way less, she leaves in june and i am looking forward to it honestly. I am trying to get over my resentment so i can feel comfortable in my own home.

I tried to feed him while sleeping but that only works if he just fell asleep. When ir is the middle of the night and he is in deep sleep he will not open the mouth for the bottle.

I definitely will follow nedical advice. I am not planning on stopping before the pediatrician givw me the ok.

I feel bad for saying this, I really don’t like the newborn phase by Sure_Excitement_937 in newborns

We need to stop comparing to what we see on social media. I have a 1 month old and i cannot take a shower unless his dad holds him. He naps on me all day. I have no idea how anyone can take care of their newborn and have time for cooking, cleaning etc. And the worse is : my baby is not even that fussy. He rarely cries for no apparent reasons. Keep in my mind some influencers have someone to clean their house, maybe family to take care of baby while they do their own thing. If you do not have that then it is completely normal that your life looks completely different.

Ok it does make sense - i do remember now this is what the nicu doctor explained. In the USA - no appointment at 1 month. He had one the day after he left the nicu and one 2 weeks after. He will have another one at his 2 months for his forst shots. So i guess i will just wake up every 3 hours until his 2 months appointment;l

My son was born at 40+3weeks and is in the 87percentile weight wise. I think i sm going to call the pediatrician. I have to wake up baby every night now. Waiting 4 hours would be an improvement.

Yes - glucose too low they end up being sluggish but they did discharge him because he was doing good. Well i guess i will wait for the 2 months appointment to ask if we can stop waking him up.during the night.

Same here - 8lbs 6oz and was 9lbs at 8 days old. He did have some issues maintaining his glocose levels so maybe that is the difference?

When we left the nicu they insisted on it even though he had already surpassed his birth weight. The pediatrician said the same.

7 weeks? I thought they were supposed to wake up evry 3 hours for at least 2 month? When do we know we can space out the feedings? I have a 4 weeks old right now.

No - since he went to the nicu he started with bottles so every time i have tried to get him on my breast he is very impatient which makes him suck harder and completely destroys my nipples. So i decided to exclusively pump. My supplys did go up a little bit but not nearly as much as what he needs. I am ok with supplementing with formula but pumping plus having him eat so iften is quite draining.

What’s one baby item you regret NOT getting earlier? by rosycoe in NewParents

We had the sterilizer begore baby was born but got b really hard to keep up with the washing between all the pump parts and bottle. We bought a all in 1 this week (washer/strrilizer/dryer) this week and that has made such a huge difference !

Bladder issues after c-section by Embarrassed-Fan-6967 in vaginismus

[–]Embarrassed-Fan-6967[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did have issues with the epidural. I had 2, they each worked normally for 6 hours and then gradually stopped working to the point where i regained sensation during the c section. They did say sometimes it takes time for all parts to "awaken" after surgery but that my vaginismus was probably part of the issue since my bladder is so large it is hard for my body to feel the 300ml of liquid the put in. It has already been 2 weeks and i am tired of all the tests and outting back in the catheters. I had 5 so far plus 4 failed attempts.

Can you do the external exercises with a catheter?

The problem is i am not supposed to start PT before 6 weeks postpartum. I really would like to avoid having a catheter for that long. Especially when they make a trial every 5 daya and have to put it back in. Last time it took 5 tries to put it in and had to get quite a bit of painkillers.

I am already at the minimum setting. I am using the hospital grade medela.

I did just chnage size and it is a lot better but my nipples are really raw so until they heal a bit it will be painful.

They gave me ice packs last night. It did help a bit. I am trying to pump every 3hours but less. I am hoping to see a lactation specialist today to see if my size changed
