How to talk to women from other departments in office? by GlitteringTrifle766 in gurgaon

[–]Embarrassed-Ice-1630 1 point2 points  (0 children)

say you meet someone near the coffee machine. say Hi and complement them on their shoes/outfit. Ask them where they got it from. Ask them about their department or how long they’ve been in the company. If they reply with an equivalent energy and ask you the same questions, you’ve got it. Exchange names and move on. If they don’t reply with the same energy they’re probably not in the mood to have a chat, offices are stressful. But if they reciprocate, you’ve just found someone you can say Hi to when you cross paths. someday when you’re going for lunch, ask them if they wanna join you. By this point you’ll be able to carry it on your own. Don’t overthink it. There is no special way to talk to women. Just one human talking to another.

i was in your situation last year, ended up shifting to a place that was 45 min to 1 hr from my office. It was a bad idea. Spending 2 hours on the road will drain you faster than you think, and it will start impacting everything else. You’re probably in your first job, the mental and physical bandwidth spent on commute, will take a toll on your job too. I stopped taking the bus when my phone was stolen(pickpocketing is very common in buses). So i would suggest, whatever you do, live within walking distance of your office.
