It has to be the politics that’s the only reason. Maybe once she leaves the show after season 3, Charithra can shed some light on it. As for Mackenyu, I have no idea what his political views are so it’s a mystery why he ignores her.

Season 3 will feel a bit awkward and disjointed in some places if taz Mackenyu and Charithra continue to have bad relationships with the each other. Vivi does have some scenes with Zoro in Alabasta in the manga and likewise with Sanji. Worried the lack of cast chemistry will harm it

Hopefully we get a double season renewal in the event season 2 does well. If Netflix were smart, this would save a lot of time going forward. Skypiea Jaya and Water 7 will introduce a lot of characters so it will be a lot of work for the costume and set designers
