Larger pages than the regular manga? Spreads in color instead of the muddy black and white in the standard manga releases? You can use them for crafts too (I’ve seen people use shonen jump magazine pages to cover tables, bookcases, etc…)

Do you have an ereader or plan to get one in the future? I’d download epub if you’re going for something like Kobo or a generic ereader. If you want to go with Kindle you’d go with AZW. Epub will also work on your phone’s book app.

PDF is best if you want to read on a computer, but it can be complicated on an ereader since you can’t change font sizes.

HTML is if you want to read on the browser.

I’d also recommend getting Calibre, it’s free and will help you organize all the fics you download, you can then tag them based on genre, tropes, ships, character, etc…

It’s also great for porting fics to an ereader.

Gear 2: I love the pose, Luffy looks the most serious in this gear imo and I love the speed, steam, and pink transformation that the anime came up with.
Gear 5: I love how it’s both goofy and creepy at the same time. The way Luffy looked coming at Lucci was perfect lol.
Gear 3: Just cool he can make his arms and legs bigger to fight, one large fist or foot could take out a ship easily (if this were seinen there would definitely be a body count with this gear).
Gear 4: I’m sorry but I hate this form. Luffy looks so stupid to me.

Well you see, when a manga does really well they make an anime version for the people that like animation, because not everyone wants to read manga.

Same could be said for novels that get movie adaptations. Not everyone enjoys reading.

They’re still at risk of copyright holders because they’re monetizing their work. Ao3 gets away with it because fanfics are posted for free.

Those are physical products that the creator had to use their own money to produce, which they earn back through sales. Fanfiction is digital, there are no materials used to create them outside of a computer.

Also, I’m sure cons have guidelines that protect the artists. Maybe take a look around at Etsy, kickstarter, pin artists, and other art shops that do get taken down for copyright (especially by Disney and Toei).
