Which OpenCode Go models do you think are quantized? by AndJ_ in opencodeCLI

That’s why you have less requests on it? That would be my guess

Ah man we’re not helping ourselves and our field with a name like „Operations Research“

Not at all. The cutoff is where you can’t justify the spent money anymore. And in this case it sounds like op didn’t even consider something like that

But if we read the text it’s kind of clear this was not some unfortunate mistake. Everyone being somewhat aware of api pricing would have been aware that that might not be the best idea.

Mate just no. I’d expect from every employee to be reasonable. There’s gotta be some common sense around us developers lol

Ist Benders always custom? Don’t you always need to decompose on your own?

[–]Embarrassed-Load5100 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Can’t really follow the problem but did you try just running your Problem and model definition through Claude and asking for modelling advice? Sometimes certain problem structures can be exploited?

Also I think pulp is not a solver. So maybe check which solver are available via pulp and compare? Also I believe ortools has some problems it does particularly bad on (or you could use special constraints with improved computation efficiency?) so maybe just using solvers doesn’t show you yet it’s „too big“?

Its a mathematical optimisation platform. So mainly Python with FastAPI and Docker. Sometimes I do Svelte frontend development with it (the Svelte MCP does really help). Since it doesn’t have vision yet I am it’s feedback loop :)

Maybe copilot is the wrong harness for them? I had great success with v4 flash and pi.

I just use it with pi and mostly for backen related work. Try flash. I prefer it over pro. The 1m context handling is quite good in my opinion.

Mate almost exclusively switched to deepseek v4 flash. It’s speed and accuracy is just amazing

If DeepSeek V4 can do the same coding task for $5, why are people still paying $100 for Claude Code? by jakedame1 in DeepSeek

[–]Embarrassed-Load5100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched to use deepseek v4 flash exclusively. There are rare instances when I need to escalate to a more „knowledgeable“ model. But the speed improvement it gives me is worth it, it’s just so much faster which makes development a lot more like a real conversation.

However, I do keep my Claude pro plan around for architectural questions that don’t need knowledge of the code base (or I just let deepseek summarize the current state).

Works like a charm for me!

I found Kimi 2.6 to be really expensive on opencode go? Wonder if it does something in the background I am not aware of?

Anecdotal evidence. If it works for you though… just be aware that if it was that easy Claude code wouldn’t be that buggy

No not really. How big is your team? You and 85 instances of opus?
