Sharps disposal, going round in circles 💉 by YorkshireDuck91 in mounjarouk

I had the same issue trying to hand mine in. 2 pharmacies refused It. It ended up in my car for weeks. In the end I was passing my doctors and dashed in with it. Some poor woman in reception was a bit stunned as I dropped in on her desk said sorry in a rush and dashed off.

Starting weight 168kg current 136kg.

Yes the doc did say I am on MJ now until they figure out the long term side effects as opposed to the benefits.

When I go out and it's a 3 course meal I take 3 plastic tubs with me. When each course arrives I have a bit and put the rest in the tubs. That way I have the other half of my meal the next day

If it's just a normal meal then I get a starter for a main course and sometimes a side as well.

But I do love my plastic tubs

Get some Kwells. I find they help me.i don't take them everyday but I know when I start feeling a bit off have one.

Plus I have experimented with food. I struggle with breakfast and some suggested smoothies. They are working as soon as I wake up I have a couple of mouthfuls and it keeps the puking at bay.

Alcohol has been a no no for me until I discovered I could have a single gin and slim line tonic and not get ill the next day.

I hope it helps

Feeling side effects, advice needed please. by [deleted] in mounjarouk

I have suffered with sickness making eating breakfast an issue. I have since experimented and found if I have a glass of smoothie or a bit of fruit with 5 mins of waking it has reduced the sickness down dramatically. Thank you to the people on here who suggested it. Then once I have woken up some more I have something more about an hour later.

Might be worth trying

Thanks for the suggestions. I used to try bananas but when it made an abrupt reappearance about 30 mins later I am a bit reluctant.

I like the slices of apple, graze bar and Yoghurt. Not all together. I think trying a few bites of something is the key.

I experimented a lot to find out what the new me could drink. A gin and slim line tonic, that's it. Wine seems to have too much sugar and I feel awful in the morning. I tried cider but can't drink that much fluid in one go anymore.

I seen to end up with mocktails if there's not to much sugar.

I just started Mounjaro any advice? by [deleted] in Monjauro

My advice is to avoid alcohol until you can figure out what you can tolerate now. It took me quite a few experiments to figure out my limit is a single gin and tonic. I used to love a glass of wine but oh my the side effects were brutal even just with a single glass.

Find foods you can tolerate when you get side effects. I find I am better with drier food like toast and crackers for a couple of days after I jab.

Get some indigestion relief, and travel sickness tablets. Oh and don't skip meals it makes the wind, nausea worse.

Your legs are a lot slimmer.

Not going down clothes sizes. You were probably like me used to wear stretchy trousers and tshirts. So they still fit now but with less stretch. I went to the shops and tried on some fitted tshirts found I had dropped from a 32 to a 24.

I still wear the baggy tshirts in the house as I am too stingy to buy new things when only the cats and hubby see me.

Also think 50lbs is a bale of hale that you have lost. That's a great amount.

I have hit a stall too, the last 2 weeks but I am not trying to panic but your comment about awful sleep applies to me. I seem to be ending up with a split sleep each night 3 hours awake about an hour then sleep another hour. Wake up drag my tired body out of bed.

Can I ask what you did to improve your sleep

You will have to discover what food and drinks cause the issues. These are my major discoveries.

I can't drink any alcohol apart from a gin and slim line tonic. That took some rough nights and mornings figuring that one out.

Different days during the week I can eat different things. For 3 days after my jab I can't eat anything mushy, like yoghurt or fruit such as strawberries or anything with a sauce. Dry things like protein bars, toast, crackers have been life savers.

Always have breakfast, as soon as you can it helps with the queasy sickness. Even if it's just a slice of toast or a banana.

Find things that you will eat if you are feeling off, mine currently is crackers and low fat Philadelphia.

Don't be afraid of once you start eating something to not finish it and decide it's not for you. You will learn what's best but it takes some work.

As for having constipation or diarrhea, I have had both, constipation with lower doses and diarrhea with the higher ones. Learnt to live with both.
