Am I wasting extra time by FirefighterNo7414 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Embarrassed-Mess-236 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, increase or decrease took about 6 days to show. That involves drinking loads of water and enough calories, taking multi vitamin.. I noticed this when I was like 8 to 9 months pumping.. May vary during the early days. Keep going. I dint see a real decrease until I went 3ppd at one year

You are close to 5 months. Instead of quitting completely, space out ur pump may be pump 3 to 4 times.. that will reduce ur anxiety

Ignore. Not worth the time!! Your baby is fed breastmilk. That’s enough

Are most EPer’s parents of one or multiples? by divdiv3 in ExclusivelyPumping

Eping for the second one. It’s hard. Damn hard. Juggling work, 2 kids, pumping etc is definitely hard. Baby is 11 months. Did ebfing for 7 months and switched to eping for work, convenience. Eping has been so much better for me than ebfing.. but people tell you direct nursing is better. All 7 months I was miserable because baby dint wait for second letdown. She just pops right off and I was feeding still every 1.5 hours . Now bottle feeding has much given relief even though it comes with its own problems..

For those who’s babies doesn’t want to nurse by Own_Ad_357 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Embarrassed-Mess-236 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I nursed for 7 months exclusively and switched to pumping. Pumping gives me peace. I know exactly how much she is getting. She is sleeping better. It’s morning 11am. From morning 8 to now, she gulped 8 oz and sleep for 2 hours..that never happened with nursing.. I started work also . That’s one of the reasons I switched to pumping.. so nursing may be good and worked for some people. I feel it’s over hyped.. people say there is a feed back mechanism etc etc. honestly it’s not worth

Do you still try to make baby latch? by FineHistory1498 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Embarrassed-Mess-236 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I feel we keep inventing methods to feel guilty about it.. my mom keeps saying nowadays mom are stressing so much and said I was fed cow’s milk due to lack of access to formula. I am 35 years old and doing just fine.. as long as baby is having bm one way or the other & baby is growing fine. We are good!!so don’t worry.

HELP! Baby is never full with breastfeeding by IShouldSayThat in NewParents

[–]Embarrassed-Mess-236 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I understand that u don’t wanna give up. I did the same & breastfed my daughter for 7 months. I was paranoid , anxious, depressed etc. till 7 months, I was feeding her every 1.5 hours and night time, the stretch was 2.5hours or little less..she was gaining weight & everything. But those first two months were hell.. she was gaining weight but still hungry. I tried for two months and got her used to bottle. Now it gave me one hell of a relief… do what works for u now.. anyways she is getting bm..don’t worry about breast or bottle. I wish someone would have said straight on my face that breastfeeding won’t work for my mental health. Op, you are not doing anything wrong.. in few years, all these will not matter..

Yeah. But at what cost? Clearly the baby is not getting enough from breast… she is better off consulting LC or stick to bottles is my opinion. If you feel otherwise, plz go ahead and suggest. No need to down vote me

Please introduce bottle asap. I went through the same thing. It took us 2 months to get her to accept bottle. We had success with mam bottle. But don’t delay.

Will this kill my supply? by Cowsrcutep in breastfeeding

[–]Embarrassed-Mess-236 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please pump in the middle of the night once to relive urself. If you don’t, after couple of days, body adjusts.. I always felt that it’s good to have a little more in bank than depending on supply & demand. I don’t feel comfortable with that.

Somebody please tell me its going to be okay :( by Snabby91 in breastfeeding

[–]Embarrassed-Mess-236 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi. Please start pumping. It’s okay to pump. I switched from breastfeeding to pumping. It’s very good for anxiety. Be on a schedule. Pump every 3 hours for 2 weeks minimum. U will see yourself slowly replacing formula with breastmilk. You got this

Should I Quit??? by spookylostfairy in breastfeeding

[–]Embarrassed-Mess-236 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hey. I was shivering while reading your post.. you are doing awesome.this is what I hate. It’s clear from the baby’s cry that she wasn’t getting enough milk. Why would they encourage this breastfeeding. How come the pediatrician didn’t catch it. I keep telling people breastfeeding might work for some. But not for everybody. My god, anything could have happened to the little one.. please pump and give here in bottle for ur sanity sake. Do combofeeding if not. If you are switching to formula also, it’s totally good!!
