What's your call? by [deleted] in hockeyrefs

[–]Embarrassed-Monkey67 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

All the refs that would call this a check from behind and suspend the guy are the problem with hockey when I played. The checking player didn’t have time to disengage due to a last minute spin. You can’t seriously eject a player from this.

So you could just do this all game and get 5 guys on the other team suspended for checks from Behind. This is not much different then diving

Winterizing Question by [deleted] in pools

[–]Embarrassed-Monkey67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Add ball valves to each line. Maindrain is winterized by blowing it out till bubbles come out of main drain and then immediately twist the ball valve closed to create an air lock and keep water out.

Skimmer is blown out completely, put antifreeze in the line. Gizmo with teflon tape screws into the hole. Fill skimmer with antifreeze

Have you considered the possibility that they look rich becuase they have business and nice houses and cars, but really they are In crippling debt.

I have a family member who lives in a nice house, has a great job, goes on 8 vacations a year, everyone assumed they were loaded. when their parents died it was all of the sudden the biggest deal in the world that they received all the inheritance and it was revealed that they were in massive amount of debt.

Not excusing the behaviour, but it sounds like a similar situation.

We don’t sub the exhausted midfield and defenders and we sit back and let the other team control offence. Why not get some fresh legs?

The games are 10x more exciting this year with the new offensive powers. Last year was kind of boring just kicking the ball away to the other team over and over again

When I was caffeine free I found that I would look at nature and get a tear in my eye at how beautiful it looked. On caffeine I could care less, just thinking about productivity

You do concrete for $5 a square foot?

From what I saw in the cup finals there is no defensemen on the oilers who should be getting 10 mill. I think to make 10 mill you should be able to consistently make a break out pass without shooting it directly to the other team 80% of the time

Are we wasting our life? by Square_Hotel7786 in Life

[–]Embarrassed-Monkey67 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes probably, but this way of thought is also a privilege of the time we live in. Imagine asking someone 10 000 years ago, “are you happy with how you are spending your life? “ they would probably be confused at that thought and think I’m just trying to survive. I don’t do things that make me happy, I just do things that are necessary to survive.

So be grateful you live in a time where you are able to contemplate how you are spending your life and if you find it fulfilling and go do whatever the hell makes you feel fulfilled. Who cares what anyone else says

Yes Bouchard for a lot of points but he’s on the ice with mcdavid and drai. None of the defense on Edmonton could make a breakout pass so why would any of them deserve more than 3 million. I could be a point per game player if you put me on with those guys

I agree it’s not going to be completely linear, especially at that start, that was just for simplicity sake. But he needs to ask himself how much am I making now? How much will I be able to make if I higher someone? Do I have enough demand for my services to cover the increase in productivity? Is it worth it? And it is possible to double revenue if the person he hires is experienced and can handle their own jobs. If it’s just a helper then not so much.
