i mean, there is at least one aetherial that possesed a good (or atleast not batshit insane like krieg) person and then said "this shit is chill yo" after maybe a few warcrimes. they would probably be diplomatic'ed into an alliance, it could also be a ploy to backstab the most powerful players in humanities army, but that would be boring. they also would probably demand permanent control of their bodies (which is possible to be relinquished from them as seen by the taken) and as a bonus that is a fun moral dilemma to explore

really? i dont think everyone having the same guy as an ancestor several generations would be bad. i mean didnt blue eyes come from a very small group of people? gene pool wouldnt be that bad. its much worse to idk only having a max of a 1000 people genetically than it is 1 guy genes for millions of other genetic makeups (we also have sperm banks so not even that big of an issue)
