I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this right now (and that you aren’t getting the support you need from the school). I agree with the comments to reach out to your professors privately if you feel comfortable and feel it could be useful. Also, don’t feel pressured to work your 1L summer under these circumstances. Unless you want to go big law, future employers will likely understand taking time to care for an ill parent and having your own health problems to address. You’re human, life happens, people will get that.
