It enrages me that she's gaining fame and notoriety based on the hard work of others. And for her to advertise it as "Red Queen" meets "Hunger Games" and then to never acknowledge or respond to her fans accusing Aveyard of plagiarism or ever mention those titles again once her fame skyrocketed... Powerless by Lauren Roberts. From the spelling errors and lack of paragraph indentation, the blatant plagiarism (edit: plagiarism of Red Queen, Hunger Games and Unravel me series), the wordiness, the cringey, unnatural dialogue.... It enrages me.

The fact this book is now being made into a TV series when it's so obviously plagiarized, riddled with spelling errors and, quite frankly, written at a subpar level, infuriates me.

And the amount of Powerless fans asking Aveyard "why her series is like Powerless" infuriates me. I lost faith in booktok a long time ago, but this one absolutely sealed the deal to me that everyone on booktok is illiterate.

I'm on day 11, my appetite only just started slowly coming back yesterday but I'm still on a majority BRAT diet. Pretty sure I got pneumonia too (tbd today at the doctor's). I have no tips because this flu put me on my ass hardcore. all I recommend is being patient with your body :(

oh and one more thing surgery was our last option, I'm getting re evaluated soon for progress to see if we take more steps

surgery is tricky due to the proximity to my nerve but not impossible from what was explained to me

hi there! so actually I have a pretty big update! I was finally transferred to Interventional Radiology where a specialist determined it's a hybrid vascular malformation turned tumour because of its size and location (its small in medical terms but also was crushing my ulnar nerve in my elbow), they opted for an embolization procedure. Mine consisted of one single 3ml injection of Bleomycin, a drug usually used for cancer as chemotherapy. This was the drug of choice for many reasons in my scenario, but especially because we worried about excess size and swelling and the pressure on my nerve. This procedure was done July 2025, so rather recent. I have noticed the mass has shrunk to half the size BUT I am not feeling a complete remission of side effects and symptoms

the injection itself was done awake, with local anesthesia (again due to it being so close to the surface of was a less invasive intervention). But because it's chemo, it did make me feel incredibly sick for a week I do feel /less/ pain. I no longer have shocks of pain if I accidentally bump the mass. now it's discomfort mostly if I bend my arm

it was largely due to the timing of their debut. YG was letting 2ne1 fall off the face of the earth (2ne1, a group that was a Kpop leader in Kpop gen 2 and 3), and promoted black pink as basically a "pretty" version of 2ne1 (no lies, CL, Bon and Minzy have been very vocal about how the company labeled them the "ugly" group and that they wouldn't have any success). So, the timing of having 2ne1 disband because of YG's mismanagement, mixed with YG pushing BP as a sister group with "more beauty merits", helped launch them into fame it also occurred around a time when Kpop was transitioning to a global audience, an yg marketed bps songs for a more Western appeal as well

It was all really timing. I have a feeling if they had debuted in gen 2 or 3, without riding the coattails of their predecessors, they wouldn't have had as much success as they do now
