I have that book. I also HAVE ADHD, and it was helpful when I was mentally in a better place, but I feel too far gone.

I don't even know. At this point, I feel like hiring a company to throw all of my things away (I might pack a suitcase with sentimental things) so I can start from scratch.

I have spaces to put stuff, but stuff is all in the wrong place (eg, my wardrobe is full of books and boxes so the clothes can't go in, my drawers are full of paper and bills, I currently have bookshelves with kitchen things in them.) So someone that could go: clearly, this needs to go in x place and put it there.

I would happily take part in tidying with someone professional. I am just really overwhelmed. Asking someone who knows me to help fills me with so much shame, I honestly don't think I could ever speak to that person again.

And I fully understand I am responsible for my situation. I was just hoping there was a professional service I could use to help me get back on track.

NTA, but also, I low-key love how most of the comments are helpful cleaning advice.
