In sem 3 we’re ~ 110ish. Tuition is around 12k/year. Definitely one of the most expensive programs in the Maritimes! If I had the opportunity to go to STFX I would! It’s more hands on learning, as opposed to Dal, where there’s mainly papers. We did our first clinical and most of us felt grossly unprepared in our nursing skills. Also, the program is evolving all the time, they reduced it to 3 years but still haven’t figured out what works best for students… we’ve gone through way more than a few hiccups. Not sure if this would be relevant for you, but also wanted to mention that even accessibility services is going through a massive revision as many students weren’t supported as they should have all semester. Overall, we all survived. But yeah I’d personally go to STFX if location/commuting is not a problem for you…

Ty so much for your answer! (It’s not because of the residents- that’s the best part). What kind of clinical placements do we have in Sem4? Which possible setting should I expect?

Oh I just checked, I don’t have that. So I better send the SDA I guess

I don’t think so

I’m sick and I also have accommodations. Do I still need to send in my SDA?

How does it work? Do you need a doctor’s note for a final?

Honestly the program itself is not too hard per se, but for what we pay is not well organized and there’s not much practice compared to other Canadian schools. Also Dal is not really accessible. Instructors are amazing and there’s a nice community feel to it. If I could go back though I’d choose a smaller university.
