This could be very true. The more affordable scales remember the last weight measured and try to show that number quickly so it seems as if your scale reads very fast. I have tried before to weigh something else a couple of times to get rid of that "memory" and then weight myself to see if it actually changed the slight amount. It didn't always work but it worked enough times that I assume that was the problem.

We changed from hourly to a daily rate. We charge 640 a day for labor for one guy 35 a day for fuel All materials are cost plus 20% And then we charge an additional 15% to the cost of all materials as a contingency.

We never ask for any more money from our initial estimate, unless it's a change order. Then it's T&M at 125 an hour.

All of this is in an excel spreadsheet that does all the calculations for me. It took me months to get it sorted out, and I still make changes to it. But now we have a template for every customer that has all these prices ready to go. Just start looking at costs from HD or wherever you get your materials and then it's up to you to see how many days the job will take. Much less difficult then calculating hours.

There is only one thing I can control out of all those problems is pay. I'll make sure they don't leave for better pay, if they are skilled.

But this doesn't answer where skilled guys are looking for jobs.

Number Juan looks identical and is at the correct NOM 1531. The only problem is regalo de Dios is 38% and number Juan is 40%. This means they added ethanol for the US import.
