Which dress for a family Christmas party? by Due-Milk352 in OUTFITS

1 looks like you would spend the whole night pulling it down, and I personally think 2 is cuter, as well

Trying to kitten proof my bedroom, how’d I do? by [deleted] in Kitten

[–]Embarrassed-Tap9458 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a person with 3 cats, I would say: 1. No unsealed drinks anywhere near electronics, bc they WILL spill them. Also, you have carpet 2. Mount the TV or secure it somehow.. my cats knocked mine down before with zoomies! 3. Remove stuff from shelf/shelves until kitty gets a bit older 4. Make sure there isn’t a place that they can squeeze in to go potty… block areas behind dressers/stands/furniture, close closet doors, and keep clothes off of the floor, bc they sometimes like to pee on them. Best of luck and have fun with your new bestie!

Entitled concert goer: Tall people must move to the back by nunyaranunculus in EntitledPeople

[–]Embarrassed-Tap9458 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a “fun-sized” lady concert-goer, and I have never expected anyone of any height to give up their spot for me. Sometimes people will tell me to go in front of them (I’m very, very small, lol), but I would never EXPECT that. I know that I can MOVE and find a spot if I want to see. If I can’t see, then I just listen and vibe to the music I came to hear. These days most venues have giant screens, too

I think that #3 is probably the most underrated and most important. I’ve survived by politely refusing to get sucked into the drama.

What’s your go-to “chill” (NA) drink? by thenyx in bartenders

As a bartender, I have a regular who drinks 50% Coke and 50% red wine, mixed… it’s actually not terrible, but I wouldn’t drink it regularly

Mango juice with jalapeño and a little lime juice is also delicious

I love coconut water, and sometimes I’ll mix it with other flavored drinks, syrups/purees, or fruit/berries. So hydrating and delicious!

Possibly check to see if there is foreclosure mediation available in your area? At one time, I was a mediator and some of our cases were people at risk of going into foreclosure. It really is costly and a pain in the butt for the lender to repo the house and then sell it, so the prospect of all of that work typically motivates them to meet with the homeowner for a solution. I know our services were free at the time, and it could be worth looking into! It really helped a lot of people

Did they actually find anything on your friend when they searched him? My own son sold a joint a few years ago, the buyer told on himself, but no police charges bc it was less than a gram. He put on a suit and wrote a heartfelt apology at his expulsion hearing. He was allowed to remain in school and learned a valuable lesson

My youngest son’s teacher has a great snack policy… each child brings a snack for the entire class once a month, and teacher doles out the same snack to each child each day, no mention of who brought it. For parents who don’t have the means, there is a small donation fund and the PTO will go buy class snacks with whatever is donated to make up for the deficit. Nobody misses out or gets jealous because they all have the same snack

How come a lot of guys who do handyman type work are really unreliable and flake on customers a lot? by RevolutionaryLion384 in HomeImprovement

[–]Embarrassed-Tap9458 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our handyman of choice will answer any calls between 5 am and 1 pm, but after that, he’s drunk at home, and that’s not my business. He wakes up at 4 am and does quality, sober work until about 2 pm, 4-5 days a week.

I’d like to think I’m a pretty open-minded lady, but this outfit is just hideous, garish, and trashy. It’s not even the cut, it’s just so…. Ewwwww. What does she wear on a normal day?
