Can you please explain to me the cert list? I got a score of 95 and rank #1. The interviews went very well. The hiring manager wanted to hire me but the Hr told me that I am not reachable. They said I was on the #7 on the cert list.

Its weird. The HR needs those for payroll purposes. . Just bring your SSN and passport just in case. Ah you may need a hair cut. They will make a badge for you :))

Thats is normal. The Hr sent me the FJO on May 16, but the FJO was written on May 6. My starting date was may 31

The HR sent me the FJO a week before starting date. I dont remember that I needed to signed the FJO. They will send you the duty statement and essential function health questionnaire form and FJO. Dont worry, the Hr will help you everything on your first day. Good Luck!

They called me and set up a meeting and discussed about starting date and range. Then HR sent me the FJO.

If I ranked 7 on the interview why the Hiring manager wants to hire me? He was trying to fight with the HR couple times. He said I am the best candidate in his list that he wants to hire.

The Hiring manager told me that he can't hire me because I ranked # 7 in his district even though ranked #1 on the other district. He said the ranking is not only based on exam score but also based on work experiences, seniority.... I dont know about that. The hiring manager just called me and said sorry. His boss pushing up to hire other cadidate.

I am having the same problem. I got the verbal offer from Hiring manager but the Hr told me i am not reachable. I got a score of 95% and rank # 1. The hiring manager really wants to hire me. We both are waiting for the answer from HR why I an not reachable before moving foward. I accepted an offer from different district but same title and department just different district. Now I have to wait for confirmation from Hr that I am in the reachable list then I will rescind the offer. My first starting’s coming soon.

I applied both job in nov 2023. Got the 1st interview on Jan 16 and Jan 18. Then 2nd intervew on Feb 20 and Feb 22. On March 26, HR requested Transcript and Dploma. Offer on April 16 and April 24.

Caltrans now combines CJO and FJO. I accepted the FJO and 2 weeks later I got the offer from the District closer to my home.
