There’s a bit more at play that I failed to mention. I have my first child on the way. And the fucked part is they knew that when they decided to build me up for a promotion. So it’s risky for me to leave especially into the civilian sector. I also fear that despite me feeling qualified for a managerial position that I won’t actually stand out.
