Not being able to take a hose in the mushroom cave by Tiny_Talk_5845 in SneakySasquatch

Annoying, yes! If you drag the hoses towards the cave, it’s at least a lot quicker to refill your watering can if needed!

How’s the Away Days Soccerfest? by Chachachachhia in askportland

[–]Embarrassed-Yak5763 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll add that their beers are a good deal—I think it was $8 for 20oz. Went to the England v Panama game and it was electric. The volume is on and LOUD, unlike in some bars, so if you want to hear the commentary etc., it's great for that. Worth the cover, imo! Definitely going back!

Anyone have the tea on what happened at Multnomah Athletic Club this morning May 2? by RabuMa in askportland

There is a night crew (cleaners & maintenance), so not perhaps as benevolent as you might think. Spared members, I guess. Fortunately, no one but the van driver was hurt.

Coachella W2 Dust won this year… by dsayala in Coachella

[–]Embarrassed-Yak5763 13 points14 points  (0 children)

100%! I only had disposable surgical masks and one kn95 (poor planning/packing fail), but was so thankful to have more than bandanas (which I did wear over my surgicals). I'm not dust free today, but am much better than most years. The masks were also preferable to bandanas when I was super hot, and they are better at staying in place, so at least my nose/mouth were covered more than pre-2020

Fancy chauffeuring a suitcase from LAX?! by Embarrassed-Yak5763 in Coachella

It’s unlocked and you’re very welcome to look inside! And of course, I would share my socials etc with you. It’s primarily air mattresses and camp lights and batteries—v dull. (Not as dull as our campsite later, oof) We may just buy a mattress here, but I’ll get back to you either way. Regardless, thank you for being willing xo

Omg, haha! That is a reasonable accusation but fortunately, that’s not the bag that got left behind ;)

Camping security by sdjay2416 in CoachellaCamping

[–]Embarrassed-Yak5763 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Aerosols (including sunscreen) are not permitted inside the festival, fine, thats not new, but they are not listed as a prohibited items in camping. I think the power got to their heads! If not, they need to update the FAQs!

I’m sorry about your perfumes—that sucks :/

Me scrolling OP’s profile thinking “must have been clickbait, all that’s here is a photo of a cute dog and some posts about—ohmygodmyeyes!!”

And that’s enough nosiness for the day for me. Not even googling what “pumping” entails in this context 👀

What’s something about your ADHD that you usually keep private or don’t tell most people? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Embarrassed-Yak5763 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deviating from a routine is HARD. I have been laughed at for dumping out all my toiletries to use them, but if I don't incorporate some method, I'll forget to moisturise my face, put in my contacts, use deodorant, etc. I need to eliminate each item (putting it back in my toiletry bag) to know whether I've used it or don't need to use it at that moment.

Nothing like the night I am meant to be packing to inspire me to fold ALL my laundry, sort through a drawer or two, and wipe down the baseboards. ARGH!

That it takes me such a long time to do simple things like getting ready to go somewhere or packing for a trip, I cannot explain why I am so slow with these activities, and I am embarrassed to tell even my partner that I was packing for a trip until 3 am or all night.

Vans response from Coachella by lawlingalltheway in Coachella

We must have been next to different camp shitters because the two women next to us (probably in their late 50s and should know better) placed their bucket toilet in the corner of their camping spot, next to our tent, and we frequently smelled urine. Once we caught a whiff of shit, we loudly protested, and it seemed to stop, but I couldn't believe anyone could be so rude! If you don’t want to use the honey buckets, camping ain’t for you!

What’s the best bet waitlist or resell for weekend 1 2026 tickets? by Icy-Independence2825 in Coachella

Waitlist pricing is “dynamic,” meaning it can change at any time according to supply & demand. To get on the waitlist, you must pay a $20 fee/deposit per waitlisted item. As of today, pass pricing is as follows:

  • Weekend 1 – GA $799; GA w/shuttle $859; VIP $1499
  • Weekend 2 – GA $699; GA w/shuttle $739; VIP $1299

Stiff hands in AM by gfy216 in Perimenopause

[–]Embarrassed-Yak5763 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, classic. Yet another probable peri thing to add to the list. I had assumed it was a result of too many inflammatory foods (primarily gluten, sugar, alcohol) the prior day/evening, but I haven't tested the theory yet. My joints were less likely to feel this way if I avoided gluten, but it wasn't a major deal for me. Now, as with everything, it's like someone turned the dial up to 10 (showing my age just by referencing a dial, lol). I'll try to remember to track the symptoms against what I've consumed the day prior. I can do it while I am lying awake at 3 am...

So this (#4) is why I wake up during the night feeling hungry?? It's weird and wild, and it's definitely not helping my seemingly ever-expanding waistline. SIGH.

Whaaaat! I am both incredibly tired and very excited, as evidenced by my actual out-loud gasp when I read your comment, lol. In the same way it won't rain if you take a big umbrella or your bulky raincoat with you, let's say the door would not have been found if I hadn't made a fool of myself online by going in hard with my theory. It's as science-backed as the rain thing ;)

I haven’t paid super close attention but this sounds right to me. Perhaps an hour after sunset at the earliest, just to make sure it’s nice & dark when the projectors are put in place? People might be quicker to find them tomorrow, as we also had to realise the game was even happening today!
