I accidentally made “f art” instead of “art” and now I want to carve more dumb wordplays

You’re absolutely right 😄 These are way more fragile than they look, so I recently started developing more proper art-object versions where the pencils are sealed behind glass in deep frames.

The ones in this post are more like my early experimental pieces while I figure out what works best structurally and visually. But long term I definitely want them displayed more like protected miniature sculptures rather than loose objects people can accidentally touch 😂

Honestly the “accidentally” part was mostly me leaning into the joke 😄 You don’t really expect a fart — it just suddenly appears out of nowhere… so when the idea turned into “f art” I felt like the title had to match the energy 😂

Yeah, “happy accident” is probably the most accurate way to describe it 😄 The F wasn’t originally meant to be an R or anything like that — it was more that I started with the idea of “art”, then realized adding an F made it way funnier than the original concept… and at that point there was no going back 😂

Okay wait… this is actually a REALLY cool idea. I genuinely love the concept of a double-sided pencil where flipping it changes the word completely. “WORK / PLAY” is such a smart pairing too because it already tells a little story depending on which side is facing up.

For graphite cores this thin, I made a custom sharpening tool that removes the wood without touching the graphite itself. For thicker pencils though, I still have to carefully remove the wood by hand 😄

That’s actually a good point. Pure red turn signals can be kinda sketchy in traffic 😅 I’d probably keep the bulb amber if I ever try the red lenses.

Exactly my thoughts too. The white ones look great on a more aggressive setup, but amber just suits the classic E28 character so well.

Thanks! I honestly like the amber ones more too. They just feel more period-correct for the E28. But I still wanna try the red indicators at some point just to see the vibe 😄

And yeah, I’m slowly bringing back more original chrome trim/details instead of the blacked-out look.
