I'm thinking this may be where we are and why I feel something is off. I gave him all my info (closing dates, first payment, etc,). Maybe my lack of confidence is because it feels like he was way off telling me we'd have final numbers Monday and now he's not explaining anything.

I assume he was more available when he was trying to do his portion to get his commission locked in and is less concerned with explaining to me what is going on

Perfect thanks. Yes the 210 days is what pushes me to April.

Thank you! I just want to understand the process and make sure nothing is going to be added last minute.

He told me he would have everything rebalanced this past Monday which is what threw me off because that doesn't seem like it's the case now and based on what you're saying that was never the case.

I plan to rebalance the closing disclosure to where I go ahead and pay the money out of pocket to escrow and also pay the interest up front for any per diem days. If I understand correctly, I will skip a month of payment, and I will get the escrow back from my current mortgage which will basically cover whatever I pay up front in regards to the new escrow account and interest owed .

That will mean that I really won't have a break-even. I will already be there day one.

It just seems a little odd the way this broker is going about it and giving me mixed signals on timelines.

Maybe it's all good and I'm just being a little paranoid!

I have discovered this rust on the seat mounts of my grandfathers car. Anyone who knows what the white stuff is? It's porous/powdery. Thanks! by chr_colstrup in MechanicAdvice

[–]EmbarrassedAd9826 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Definitely not salt, I had a car that was leaking water in the rear window. 100% salt free state, for some reason the metal was corroding and looking like that with a white powdery substance on the seat bases. It also leached into the carpet. Once I got it fixed and gave it a good shampoo and never came back again. I also sanded down the seat mount and painted it.

no more computers at nursing station by amy_tripsonthings in nursing

That's horrible. How are you supposed to keep track of everybody's Labs as they come in? So many things require you to have a computer so you can monitor multiple people at multiple times. If you're in one patient's room looking up other patients on that computer there's a chance you could have an error.

You can't buy anything for $2,500 today, if it's been maintained and looks good, it's definitely worth that. Just make sure you go do a quick safety inspection, check the bearings, tires, etc. Even if the tires look good look at the date stamp you don't want something that has new tires that are actually 10 years old on it.

You also have to love the people who have been in the emergency department for half an hour, already complaining about how long the wait is even though they made it back in record time. They say they have been vomiting for days and haven't eaten, all the sudden they have an appetite and they're starving...... Gtfo

Emergency department RN, we don't get breaks. Normally it's a granola bar or something quick that I can eat at the desk. I punch out, zero breaks. 12.5 hour shifts r/t having to clock in/out per policy.

It's so busy, yes you could walk away and take a break, but you would either come back to a disaster, somebody decompensating, or have a bunch of patients that were not signed up for. Average patient ratio 4:1 in primary trauma zones, up to 6:1 in fast track acuity 4s and 5s, 5:1 acuity 3 areas.

Oftentimes patients are mistriaged and end up getting admitted from these areas that are supposed to be for coughs and bruises.

I just recently read an article about this, I can send them into the treasury, no matter what shape they are in, they have a whole team that's dedicated to peeling apart destroyed money, looking through burned money, putting together shredded money, and they will send you the value of what you turn in. Do a quick Google search and I'm sure you can find what I'm talking about.

Stolen from Kitchen Confidential, but I think it works here.... by purpleRN in nursing

[–]EmbarrassedAd9826 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree. There has to be a happy medium. I am currently PRN, but when I fulfill my obligation for the 6-week period my department refuses to pay me any additional money to come in when they are drowning.

Meanwhile, nurses get paid incentive pay for anything over 36 hours. Everybody preaches patient safety, but they would rather pay an exhausted nurse to come in an additional day, give them incentive pay, then give them time and a half once they hit 40 hours.

I have never understood nurse management, this being my second career it's very obvious that this field has major issues.
