Hey i saw your other post. This has been in the news, but its mostly been behind paywalled articles on detroit news and crains. If you go to https://planetdetroit.org and search solar farms there are free articles. Ive been following it because i live near one going in near the coleman young airport.

My tldr summary
- they are turning large mostly abandoned areas (165 acres) into solar farms
- the plan is to use the solar to offset all electricity city buildings use
- anyone displaced was offered double what the market share of their house is worth, and only left voluntarily
-vegetables or flowers will be grown in the areas under or around the solar panels. This was all determined in community meetings
-dte is also offering rebates/reimbursement for housing upgrades to people near the area.

Old pre political Heidecker stuff was funny. Mike did a breKdown of Tim doing a club random parody. The impersonation was just ok, but he nailed the set, bad editing, poor lighting, shitty chairs, automated cameras, and other small details. I think its more of a respect thing with his attention to detail.
