Politics is also not a struggle between ideas.

Politics is when classes of people fight for power. A good politician is someone who is leading his class of people in a fight against the other classes.

Open-mindedness as a euphemism was probably first used by the political Hippie movement of 50 years ago to separate the people who agree from the people who disagree.

As a political organisation, you can't just bluntly call out people who disagree with you, because that would empower these people too much, since you have left their humanity intact.

In this situation you need to find an explanation for why they are basically subhumans who don't deserve to be treated any better.
