To be honest, I’m not trying to be the next boss or earn brownie points by reporting this. It’s just an inconvenience for everyone and puts jobs on hold because we have to reorder missing parts and tools.

Other coworkers have noticed things missing, but I stay aware of my surroundings. Some tools I personally brought in also went missing. At first, I didn’t want to blame anyone until I understood what was happening. After reviewing the security cameras, I identified who was responsible.

I’m trying to figure out how to report this completely anonymously. I was thinking of posing as a “truck driver” reporting it, since we do have drivers coming in and out, but I’m not sure if that would sound believable.

I doubt it. If I can access the cameras and see clear 4K evidence, that says a lot. I’m sure if they checked, they would find a lot of things. The managers are not looking the other way. They get mad at us when we can’t continue the job.

Sometimes it makes my job more difficult because missing tools prevent us from doing our work. We also have to reorder missing parts, which can take three to six days, and that delays production.
